US 10-year Treasury yield topped 5% this morning, 14 September 2026. This an important rate since it is used to set mortgage and many other bond and loan rates. Many AI borrowing rates are also influenced by this rate. It ended the trading day at 4.96%,, but looks like it will continue its climb.
