Etiquette for Americans when meeting non-Americans abroad ...

If you're American your leader is a racist, bigoted prick and your people elected him two times (he says three). So people not completely illogically may associate you with him considering he has now become a war criminal.

I'm not American, so save your VILE, comments to yourself.

And yes I did write VILE in capitals to satisfy your needs for capitalisation in every other comment you post.

I think you are American, did you vote? Or are you one of the many who say don't blame me, I'm too stupid to vote?

Many nations would literally kill to have a vote. But not the USA, easier to whine about the outcome.

Pathetic.

I see you meeting someone for the first time and shouting, "I hate Trump," while shaking hands.

I'm from the US and don't give a flying f*k what strangers think.....

There's probably more than a few medical/mental classifications/definitions for people that walk around pondering whatever strangers they encounter are thinking about them....

Most Americans I have met seem pretty good people. Except for the bitch I lived with for twelve years who took me to the cleaners. Live and learn. No regrets. Except 150,000 dollars.

Not voting is also a right. It is called freedom of speech.

Polite request, wai when you see us to show the respect due to your masters.

Why is that? Most problems are caused by others. American movies and music is the world's best. European culture is now pathetic. Europe can't even beat Putin with twenty nations. It is embarrassing.

So demonize American expats instead of the bat sheit mad demon in the white house who has permanently soiled the Ametican brand.

I must be unique, as I don't think I have an opinion of him, as don't know him. I like him, though only because he says what he wants, and pisses everyone off. Not sure that's an opinion, as I think the same about other people, celebrities that I don't like.

If anyone listened to Bill Maher, after he visited Trump, someone he didn't like, and actually left liking him, but confused as hell, when he hears Trump talk to the press or politically, and completely different from the person he met. Wonder who that guy is ... his words.

As a politician, neutral, as some things he does politically, I like, other, I don't, but not much different from any other politician. I apparently know politics, although, can't say I follow or care, but apparently more intelligent on the matter than most folks that post about it.

Which I find funny, but more sad, that so many are so ignorant about USA politics, as they're posting are so far off, it's sadly hilarious.

With so many, obsessed with USA politics, they really do come off as extremely stupid, when trying to sound intelligent. Goes way beyond being ignorant.

As stated earlier, nobody I met mentions Trump, and I certainly never talk about politics, as one boring ass subject. Tie for sports and being boring and meaningless to my life. So what's the point, I don't even vote.

Exacctly.
I could have written that post.

The world's most toxic passport?

Well as passport functionality goes Israel and Russia are more toxic but as far as social encounters, the USA now rates for sure.

Some people here seem to think I'm making this up. No. It is real.

America is a great country. Great music and films. No issues at all.

I am asked often, “What do you think about Trump??” I just reply, ‘He’s a good business man, knows how to make money, and money runs our country’ If they persist with how daft and power drunk he is, I counter “Are you a Billionaire, didn’t think so or you wouldn’t be in this beer bar” I was once asked “What are you going to do about Trump??” I just replied “Nothing, I live in Thailand, not USA but I voted form him every time” Arguing Religion and Politics will get you a punch in the mouth everytime, I refuse to play that game. Peace

America HAS produced some great films and music, but not so much lately.

Most modern films are produced for children, or for adults with the maturity of a child. Boring and repetitive SciFi? Superhero drivel? The noise and vulgarity on the radio? I'm a liberal, but I don't need constant f-bombs or misogyny in my "art".

Aaron Copeland, yes. The Gershwins, absolutely. A little more obscure types like Andrew York, right. Joplin, Jellyroll Morton, Louis Moreau Gottschalk, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis.....each dwarf anyone making "music" today.

For movies, not much good in the last decade or three, though Schindler's List, Oppenheimer, and the Godfather series are good.

I can see that the scars from your childhood experiences still affect you deeply. It's essential to seek psychological counseling to address these issues, as you deserve to find the peace and healing you’ve longed for.

Yes, the scars run deep. You're talking about the poster to whom I responded and his mate, right?

And please, the usual admonition to seek "counseling" or check your meds is so trite, common and banal. At least pretend you have some imagination and originality. You might at least be able to fool those two guys.

Do you frequently take your frustrations out on those who genuinely want to support you?

Does that really happen or is this some sort of old age delusion? What type of garbage would make those types of assumptions when you meet for the first time?

I guess it's hard for you to understand being on the wrong side of the aisle, but these days America is the laughing stock of the planet, so introducing yourself as an American is an invitation to a lot of questions about why we chose the kind of idiotic leadership that we currently have.

Netflix has taken over from cinemas so you get more films for kids. The internet had ruined live music so far less quality rock gets made. Rock is not dead, it just needs a new gen. It died in the 80s then came back. It can do so again because people will tire of the online scene.

Sorry, "wrong" side. It sounds like something someone would say say to a black man entering a bathroom in the 1950s. Secondly, I'm an independent thinker that has voted for both parties the last 20 years. Shallow people that judge a person based on skin color or nationality are not the type I hang with but if that floats your boat, have at it, there are loads of lowlife that out there still in this day and age.

You seem like a good guy but always finding the negative with such consistency is inconceivable for my type or the people I hang with and usually their friends are non-commital in regards to nationality. You're definitely interesting.

You ever try posting positive things only for a few weeks? It might open your eyes to the reality that things in general are pretty dang awesome. Nothing like going back to reality knowing it is mostly OK.

Putin has lost 700,000 men and gained very little ground. The Russian economy is also bad. Russians don't want to go home. Sadly you read msm and have no idea about the real world. If you did you would not be sitting in Rai with 200 AQIs calling everyone a Russian bot.

Which countries are doing better than America? I can't think of any.

Putin just got the sanctions lifted. He does not care about the Russian soldiers any more than Trump cares about American soldiers.
