Seems to be a shortage of Cola Light. None of the places we visited had any.... Tesco Lotus, Big C, Carrfour. A call to the Coca Cola factory and the spokesman stated " Shortage of Cola Light so we stop producing it"

Still substitute Coke for any product. Could you ever imagine hearing " A shortage exists so we stop producing it" The Thais can laugh and in unison say " Thailand Marketing! " I love this Country!

this is what I thought too, no demand so no need for further production. What would happen when the people here would start eating and drinking 'light' products? Some people already weigh not that much more than 45 kg...

That’s what you would surmise, but I had another Thai person call back and they repeated it… "shortage so we stop producing it". As for demand, it does sell great where the Foreigners are.

By the way, they have never produced it here for fountain soft drinks. Only Coke regular.

Guess I'll have three suitcases loaded next week with Diet Coke coming back to Bangkok
