Every fruit and veg market in Thailand has a QR code displayed or on their banking app - if not (which I have once in 5 years in Thailand) buy something from a nearby shop and buy some cash from them as well to give to the ‘cash only’ shop.Looked at digital licences, will have the wait for a thai friend to help, it's all in thai.

They’re infrequent, and easily handled by a quick contactless ATM withdrawal when needed. They don’t justify carrying cash day-to-day.
