I historically have only tested positive for antibodies from Hep B which I unwittingly apparently acquired some time in my late teens which sadly denies me from donating blood.

So while I can understand that the efficacy of a vaccine against the specific pathogen it was developed for by measurable immune response how is it possible to measure efficacy in relation to dementia and/or Alzheimer's which as far as I know are not currently attributed to a pathogen? Or is this a subdued revelation ?

There is no evidence linking ANY vaccination to an increased risk of dementia. OTOH, there is quite a body of evidence vaccinations reduce the risk of dementia, by between 20% to 40%.

Most research suggests high blood pressure and insulin resistance are factors in the development of dementia.

Extensive research indicates daily physical exercise is one of the most effective interventions for reducing the risk of cognitive decline.

No after affects on Shingrix vaccine, but same as you I had after both my Covid vaccines. I had the first dose one month ago!

You don't live your life in one-year increments when it comes to a dormant virus. Since 1 in 3 people get shingles in their lifetime, the lifetime ARR is effectively $30%. If someone offered you a shot to reduce a $33% lifetime risk of agonizing nerve pain down to about $1%, you'd take it.

I've had a weird year with my health and just starting to get back on track after a bat bite 2 months ago and a few unexpected muscular issues with the rabies vaccine.

How long will the Shingles vaccine stop me from exercising? Will I be able to start back up where I was before the vaccine or is there a lag effect.

One day, maybe. You might not get the reaction I got (flu like from shot #1 for one day), otherwise a bit of shoulder pain at the injection site that might keep you from excising that shoulder. Should not really interrupt your exercise program.

Perfect, AI I find uses knowledge provided from "experts" when it comes to vaccines which can be far off from what happens to healthy people. I put on my schedule for March 2027 for the first of the two shots recommended. Did you get the second shot? The research shows that many skip that second shot which increases the odds of getting shingles substantially after a few years compared to getting two shots. If you did, I bet it was even easier. Last, question, do you plan on doing every 5-10 years?

Viagra was not ment to be for erectile dysfunction, just happened to be one of the side effects. Still there is more research that needs to be done before conclusion, but so far indications says there can be a connection.

Anyway, at closer to death than born, what is it to risk really?

Many reasons for the delay. Just got over a bad rabies vaccine experience and getting back on track with my health. Thanks for answering the questions.

I had a mild reaction similar to a cold, and was back into my usual exercise routine after a couple of days.

Just take some Triactin and you'll be fine.

My calves locked up even walking fast but was able to move to steep inclines(15%)on the treadmill for 40 days. Then Starting to run again after was difficult and kept getting injured. Just starting to feel normal ands that is why I'm postponing the shingles vaccine.

Neither myself nor my wife had any muscular issues after getting the shingles vaccine (slight ache in the deltoid muscle area, is all). Both of us were able to continue with our normal daily activities (including exercising and gardening, for example) without any interruption.
