So definitely can do more than 2

Can do more than 2 WITH AN AGENT. Do not try doing that yourself. And do not try entering again later in the year after doing that either. You're either going to need to leave for 9+ months after that, or continue using safe entry agents every time you enter afterwards.

Then they are getting it right. Limiting the trouble makers, and not punishing the law abiding ones.

Literally NO ONE on these van runs is issued an actual visa. That would be impossible.

Just to update.

We called the lady immigration officer at the border and she said the rules are official now and can only do 2 land border runs per year.

Despite some visa companies posting that can do unlimited.

As I said previously we are getting married the Friday after Songran and my visa expires end of April so I wanted to have a backup.

We have an agent ready to assist us but most likely we will have to fly to Singapore or Kuala Lumpur while we wait.

The visa agents want 5000 to do a 30 day extension which we may use

if you are getting married early April, and your visa expires end of April get a 60 day visit Thai wife extension

17 April.

My visa expires on 26 April so probably not enough time.

I was thinking it would look better if we flew out of Thailand to Singapore or Kuala Lumpur and use it to get proper visa and also honeymoon for 2 weeks before we go for our marriage visa.

We could also get train back to Hatyai and avoid problems at airport.

I wonder something.... you can still apply for an official tourist visa abroad that gives you the same as exemption visa.... but does apply the official visa in a thai embassy abroad make it safer ?

Also i need to do an other run after one this year , should i get an agent to be sure and do i need to stay abroad many days ? Thanks

It would be better to obtain a SETV eVisa

You have not stated recent history of stay in Thailand.

You state "agent" does this imply land border run?

Via air for exempt entry you could use "safe entry services" 4-5k
