I wonder why you never mentioned the rest of my post , you denier in denial.

I criticise Israel for good reason.

JERUSALEM, March 13 (Reuters) - Israel has launched a new phase of its assault on Iran, targeting checkpoints manned by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) based on tip-offs from informants on the ground, a source briefed on Israel's military strategy told Reuters.

On Thursday, Israel's military said it had struck checkpoints in Tehran operated by the Basij, a part-time paramilitary force under IRGC control that is often used to quell protests inside Iran.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to speak publicly, said informants on the ground in Tehran had passed intelligence to Israel on the locations of three checkpoints that were struck in the past three days. The source was not able to confirm whether these included the Basij positions mentioned by the military.

The US is moving more warships and troops to the Middle East as Iran steps up its attacks on the Strait of Hormuz, according to a new report.

The Pentagon is sending a Marine expeditionary unit to defend against Iran, three US officials told the Wall Street Journal.

Such units are typically made up of multiple warships and 5,000 troops, and the request from Centcom was approved directly by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, the news outlet reported.

What I see from this new war is that with cheap homemade hardware, a country like Iran, despite the US imposed sanctions, is able to create havoc against à 890 million daily military budget of the 2 other nations involved. It is quite scary in fact.

Other allies or rogue nations could consider that the US military supremacy is mainly a marketing issue.

Mighty brawn is no match for a nimble brain, did they say ?

A war never has a winner per se. It mainly has a number of victims on all sides.

Update and correction.

Apparently, the war isn't won and President Trump now has no idea when it might be, "Asked again how long he thinks the war will last, he said, "I can't tell you that"." (Source: BBC website), however, the President later confirmed on Fox News that, " ... I can change my mind in seconds".

I can't help thinking that may be part of the problem.

I think very soon Trump will attack the

Strait with the Marines.

Talk there is they expect a change in direction, from air to a ground War. Believing this adds to the entire global disaster, probably.

Interesting you should note that. I saw that about 2500 Marine Expeditionary troops have been withdrawn from Japan and are coming to the Iran war theater on an amphibious assault ship. Other such ships may also be involved. According to AI there is about the same number of these marines already in the mideast. I suspect that they may be there to occupy Iranian territory bordering on the Strait of Hormuz to stop the threat posed by the Iranians. I don't know if 5000 will be enough to accomplish the task. But there should be plenty more back in the States.

Talk about utter intelligence failure. And this happened just a day after Hegseth said USA has the best military intelligence in the world.

Well, if that's their 'strategy' I doubt that would work. For example, let's say they do that, then a few days later, after tankers commence navigation of the choke point, then 2 or 3 of them are attacked, set on fire or even sunk - depite this Marine force on shore. Would any other tanker owner be willing to give it a go? Back to Catch 22.

The Marines are coming! Send it the troops. Let's see how a super-power fights against a culture who's highest goal is martyrdom and who will fight the invader with an insurgency using asymmetrical warfare and the new world of drone warfare.

Take body-bags. Good-Grief, we're about to replay Vietnam all over again! Fools!

Gonna need more - like 50K to 500K troops. Expect 5000 KIA in the first wave of invasion.

They would have to occupy the territory indefinitely.

It's just a Troll...nothing more and nothing less.

The United States crossed the line from Republic to Empire over the last 50 years. And Empires die from hubris, delusions of grandure, and excesses which in turn leads them to totally discount the abilities of those whom they seek to conquer.

“What I’ve observed over the course of studying air power in history is that anytime you attack a civilian population, you usually end up finding that it just hardens their resolve."
-- Air Force General Alexus Grynkewich 👈 Trump will probably fire him for that statement

"The success of the attack is the result of a present superiority of force... Beyond that point the scale turns, there is a reaction; the violence of such a reaction is commonly much greater than the force of the blow."
-Carl von Clausewitz

Clausewitz emphasizes that prolonged conflicts lead to gradual physical and moral wear on troops due to disrupted subsistence, weather-induced delays, and uncertain information, often favoring defenders who exploit time and local advantages to outlast overextended attackers. This interplay underscores the risks of misjudgment in war, where logistical failures accelerate turning points like the culminating point of victory, turning potential successes into defeats through compounded human and environmental resistances.

In other word, the lack of planning and the failure to set realistic logistical lines of support is going to get a lot of America troops kill if Trump is stupid enough to send them in as an invading force. The longer the conflict drags out, the worse it will be - and this isn't going to end quickly. And keep bombing cities in Iran including civilian infrastructure (because your are out of targets) and you harden the resolve of Iranians.

biggrin "Rise up and overthrow your government!
angry "You are foreigners bombing MY COUNTRY and we are going to fight you invaders to the end or die trying, Inshallah."
