At least for now, but the way he is going, the petrodollar might be on its way out. Even after the strait is opened, prices will likely remain high for the foreseeable future due to damage incurred to oil infrastructure.

It's very curious how they changed the Pentagon's name to the Department of War, they changed the SEC DEF's name to the war chief, and yet they refuse to use the word war with regard to Iran. I think in general they think that our average IQ is about 74. If we don't call it a war then the people won't think it to war. I truly believe that the simpletons who have advised Trump to get into this boondoggle are literally that stupid and simple minded.

Now Trump is calling it an e even though his advisors encouraged him to call it an incursion. An excursion is a trip to Phuket or a vacation in France, an excursion is not a war of choice. More lies. The lack of integrity coming from this administration and band of thieves is truly historic.

Sadly, Trump has discovered, in the light of a pathetic Congress, that the US Military is his "toy". Given the mess he finds himself in, the best way out is to TACO. The US can continue to pressure Iran in many ways. However, I fear unless there are real consequences for him and his family, he will continue to "play" by escalating the war and destruction to huge cost to the world economy and many thousands of lives.
