Im Disappointed in Trumps Actions

Finally, the perfect time, our military allows it and circumstances justify it in my mind. Its not a good deal.

Trump should have begun closing our European bases. Time to cut the kiddies loose. The treaty can stay in effect, we just dont need to be there.

Good bye Nato

https://spectator.org/trump-delivers-europes-much-needed-wake-up-call/

"And when our participation is sufficiently downgraded, NATO just goes away on its own. At that point, the various rump armies of, at least, Western Europe will likely be turned against their own people, restive as they’ll be from the destruction of their national energy supplies and power grids, the demographic collapse and failed assimilation of their “newcomers,” and the betrayal of the democratic ideals NATO countries pledged to so long ago. Most of those countries will soon face the sorts of existential national crises that make them inoperable allies anyway.

And when those days come, we do not want to be allies faced with the prospect of nation-building in what’s left.

Our interests and those of countries run by the Starmers, Sánchezes, and Macrons of Europe no longer coincide. They do not act like allies anymore because they are not allies and have not been for some time.

Increasingly, belatedly, we are acting accordingly.

So be it."

I whole heartedly agree. Not a good deal for us.

Yeah, got to agree with you on this. Europe failed to spend sufficiently on defence, failed to develop the right level of manufacturing capability and this in part may have led to Putin believing he could walk in to Ukraine. Trump was right to call this out. Yet still there's been so little actual action by European countries on this. So, Trump would be right to reduce NATO spending further, including withdrawing the US forces from Europe. Or, make Europe pay for such defence services if Europe doesn't want such a withdrawal.

Actually, closing all the bases would be a good way to hamstring the US and prevent clowns like Trump from attacking nations anytime he needs a new diversion from Epstein.

Close the bases and no nation would allow overflight of its airspace, so it would be difficult to get military aircraft anywhere near a target. Plus, nothing would be pre-positioned anywhere close to a target...except maybe Canada or Mexico.

Of course Trump would probably invade California or bomb ABC Network studios if Jimmy Kimmel made fun of him.

NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) is a defense alliance made up of 32 North American and European countries, including Germany. Their main goal is common security: If one member is attacked, all others stand by (alliance case). Founded in 1949, it serves to protect democracy, freedom and peace.

NATO is not an alliance that supports a criminal president in his wars of aggression! However, this is something that a certain Gottfrid doesn't understand. The reasons can probably be found in his psyche.

I'm relieved that NATO refrained from bombing Libya in 2011, as it underscores the organization's commitment to self-defense. Additionally, it's important to recognize that advocating for such military action could have been perceived as racially insensitive, particularly coming from France.

Rarely have I seen a clearer example of projection. The USA has turned from a trusted ally to a laughing stock in just over a year. Incredible what can be achieved by one stupid clown if you give him enough power, ain't it.thumbsup

"So you think Nato did the right thing by not allowing us to usse OUR bases?"

Correct. Not only will it make it harder for you to bomb more Iranian school girls to pieces, it will also remind you how much your European bases mean to you strategically if you're told to leave.

"So whats your position? Stay in Nato right ?"

There is a possibility there will be a regime change in the US, and the return of sanity, even before 2029. So for now, there is no point in changing anything formally, even though with Trump in the WH the US is for all intents and purposes out of the alliance and to a large extent "influenced" by Israel and Russia.

"If we are a laughingstock they shouldnt want us. 5555555"

Even though your leadership is a clown show, most of those in the US military that work together with European allies are not. So if nothing else than to maintain those relationships while waiting for the return of grown-ups to the WH, the US should remain.

But of course, if Trump turns full on official Putin ally, you will be asked to leave.

Amazing assumptive arrogance to assume that the withdrawal of the US from European bass would render the host nation defenseless !

The multitude of abandoned military sites would mirror the multitude of military persons returned Stateside to demonstrate the reality of the US as a massively militarized Republic looking for or religiously inventing/creating an enemy on which to sacrifice otherwise unemployed young people and enhancing the profitability of the elitist shareholders of the military industrial industries.

The European nations may miss the trickle down expenditure from the pseudo Americana bases /townships complete with movie theaters .7/11s, Golden wobblyews, Kentucky F..ked Duck etc.

The US is in dire need to actually demonstrate some maturity as a nation that is no longer able to justify it's existence by exercising military enforced hegemony.

The only perceived enemies it claims to have are those it has provoked to retaliation and like a schoolyard bully claiming victim status by way of pre emptive defence.

The Real world is very much over it!

Funny how some guy links himself to the might of America and feels all NATO allies should kowtow to their leaders ever changing whims. No consultation - in fact says no help needed - until it is. Then he demands they do his bidding. So lame.

Similar to NATO countries - Australia has been so badly affected by this. Again - no particular reason we should support this unless might = right. Trump gives zero <deleted> and is adding to the pain with new tariffs.

Iranian leaders are bad folk but there is a reasoned way to deal with this and this isn't that way. All been said before.

I think your generally offensive manner of communication is what makes you unacceptable to more balanced human beings.

Nothing wrong with being a supporter of Trump if that is what you believe. But instead of sensible discussion, your posts are usually just mocking amid constant claims of 'winning'. Completely inane behaviour IMHO.

I was having a similar discussion with @Jingthing earlier. How he cannot respect that people perceive things differently. Hating and abusing people for being different is what is creating enemies in the first place. You seem to revel in such an environment.

With friends, we can start off with completely different perspectives and because we are friends, we can keep discussing and eventually understand the perspective of the other.

I don't see anything like that from you. Mainly assertions of hate and enmity. But you try to project that on to others. That's why you get the reactions that you do. It's you, not them.

You treat perfectly reasonable people as opponents. The enemy. That, in my humble opinion, is the behaviour of a madman.

After 9/11, a state of defense was declared. Practically all NATO members sent soldiers to Afghanistan, including Germans. And many died there, including Germans. But for the MAGA moron, they were all cowards. Where did this brain-less clown serve? Oh, ii forgot, n Mar-A-Lago.

If the US were to withdraw from NATO, it would be a loss for the US in the first place. All extremely important bases such as Ramstein would be gone. And then?

You are your own enemy, so do not fool yourself into thinking you make any meaningful difference on this forum.

you only confirm what we already think about MAGA

Im sure Trump is proud of you, Hegseth to, you seems like the standard they hoped for and aimed for

And honestly, I’m not proud of lowering myself to this level, but what the heck. I can’t let some of the BS pass, but I know this is exactly the response he hopes for and needs in his daily life.

For whatever reason, which is unknown to me, it continues to surprise me how they can come on here day after day, do the same rant over and over, and get the same responses every single time.

No dignity at all

It's the overall attitude from most Americans who percieve themselves the best in the world and better than anyone else T

here arrogance is well known around the World.
