Better for people to learn self control, free

Ridiculous this was even being used for weight loss.

Caloric deficit it's the simple science to shed fat.

Shameful how unable and weak so many people are to stop stuffing their mouths.

Weak, moral debased, lazy, fat people, who don't have the self-respect to get into the gym, or stop stuffing their face. And now they can use a drug; Shock, Gasp, Horror! It's like cheating. Note to self - feel morally superior when dealing with fatties. Understand they are weak layabout bludgers who have brought this upon themselves. Fart in their general direction. thumbsup

Meanwhile

There have been more confirmed side effects and deaths from Ozempic than the same for covid vaccines. You would think the anti vaxx brigade would be concerned, but they are not. No it seems It has nothing to do with health or science, or side effects. Wuhan vaccine bad because libtards. Ozempic good because skinny. Its all perception and popular chud bigotry.

So how is the share price of owner/manufacturer/promoter of Ozempic going. It is supposed to be one of the best performing companies in Europe.

It's payday for many people that's all.

Medecines that are efficient come with potentially severe side-effects. If lawuits are allowed indiscriminately, research into new drugs will come to a standstill.

Depends how old you are, how many years you've been eating a clean diet, and how active you are, and your genetics.

After a certain age, even low carb high fat diets can cause weight gain and then you still need to rein in the calories, especially the fat.

I'm not the one who started attacking obese people.

Metformin for diabetes, no?

Well, continue using it if you like. Some people have had serious side effects from it.

Metformin has been around for over 30 years is still the go to drug when someone is first diagnosed with diabeties but as you get older most people like myself need extra and different medication as well. I have been on Ozempic for over 2 years now and lost 20 kilos which helps the diabetes and no side affects at all. All medications have side affects and if you have a good GP they can look after you .

As usual, little but ignorance on top of ignorance here. Probably mostly from frustrated fat people. So if you want to preach, step onto your own scale first. Ozempic is not dangerous. It is used by millions to treat diabetes. It is also the most effective appetite suppressant discovered thus far, using a means very close to the natural appetite control of the human body, therefore it is easily tolerated with very few minor side effects. Obesity is caused by a variety of complex interrelated physiological phenomena involving metabolic disorders. Ozempic addresses obesity caused by binging and insatiable appetite by resetting metabolism back to normal parameters. For you condescending people who declare this to be a matter of discipline versus laziness, nothing could be further from the truth. For you ignorant ones who never actually looked at the research, the actual research shows that in spite of media hysteria and some of the scare stories seen here, and I saw a few, serious side effects are no more common or serious than with any of many other regularly prescribed meds. I had binge eating disorder along with bipolar depression. I got a decent amount of exercise, plenty of walking and swimming at age 67. I was addicted to 7-11 crɑp food. I couldn't pass one without those cravings. I went on Ozempic and lost 40lbs/18 kilos. Insurance is no longer covering it, and I have tapered off. The weight is staying off because I broke the food addiction and the sugar/metabolic cycle. This is exactly what this treatment is designed to do. I have a pool and gym at my apartment and plan to continue my fitness regimen.

The "high insulin causes obesity" model has been pushed a lot.

But this nutritionist is claiming the gut hormone GLP-1 is the biggest factor in obesity, NOT insulin.

Ozempic is exactly that -- a GLP 1 drug.

I don't recall any mandates to take Ozempic.

All drugs have side effects, the GLP-1 drugs included. The larger the number of people taking a particular drug, the more cases of even rare side effects will occur. Simple math.

With any drug, risk vs benefit must be considered and this will vary with the individual patient. in addition, dosage and the presence/absence of medical supervision play a role in risk.

Certainly this class of drug is not harmless candy. Neither is it unusually harmful when used correctly in properly screened patients, under medical supervision.

Obesity has many causes. "Laziness" is seldom one of them.

The GLP-1 drugs are especially helpful for people who do not get a feeling of fullness after eating what should be a normal portion...and they definitely do exist. Not everyone has this problem, not even all obese people (though it is a fairly common problem in people who are either unable to lose weight and/or unable to keep it off despite strong efforts).

Not having this problem or any of the other problems often underlying obesity (anxiety/depression etc) does not denote moral superiority.

Thread closed since it is attracting uninformed and/or hateful comments.
