Time for a big sorry

Don’t you think the USA should apologize deeply to Japan for the long lasting criticism of their attacking PH during on going negotiations? Shouldn’t FDR have just said, in his eloquent manner, “<deleted> happens”. 90 years or so later, DJT followed Nippon’s lead and the American press is muffled; it just never cones up.

Your question is hopelessly naive. "The USA" doesn't owe anybody anything. I didn't personally do anything to Japan, nor have the many millions of American citizens. No one alive in today's world had anything to do with any wars prior to Vietnam. The fascist leader now in charge in the US should apologize for everything HE'S said and done. And it's a LONG list. He does not represent the people, only his own puppetmasters and cronies. If you don't like American News you're not looking hard enough. There is plenty of open and uncensored news and commentary all over the net. Meanwhile I suggest you expand your world view. This might take a few years, so be patient, seek and you shall find.

Not a What the papers are saying topic:

A general discussion of "what the papers are saying". Topics across all topics in the mainstream news from Thailand and around the world.

What about the countries they have totally ruined? And WHO voted a mad man like the current moron who is making the entire world suffer?

Oh, absolutely! The USA definitely doesn’t owe anyone a single thing... because, of course, it’s never done anything for anyone ever... such saints.

Then Japan should apologize (very) deeply to all the nations they invaded in WW II.

And more than apologies for all the Fukushima radioactive waste they aren dumping in the oceans

and the whales they keep murdering ?

Cut with the 'need to apologize' for historical events. Most alive now had nothing to do with them. JP 1945 ... if born then, you'd be 80.

Current people should be apologizing for reelecting idiots to repeat the same policies. If you care, look no further than the mirror. Stop reelecting incumbent idiots.

No. Why? Why would we owe Japan anything

No. Why?

Just maybe, nations should try doing the right thing first. Asking permission means never have to say you're sorry.
