have not been here for a while, hope everybody is fine.

I am planning to ordering a Machine from CHINA Shandong, have a quotation already and the Company in CHINA is ready to ship it.

Problem: They are shipping only into the port of Bangkok, from there i need to take care myself.
Questions: Is there a way I can do it myself, taking it out from port, paying customs and putting it on a PickUP? The machine is about a ton, 1300kg coming in a Box and will fit easy on a PickUp Truck.

I contacted a Forwarder in Bangkok and he sent me a quotation for shipping from Shandong incl. delivery to my door in Nongkhai for 144,000.-Baht
I belive thats a bit much, since i do not need the transport from China to Thailand, anyways.

Has anyone ever brought something out from Bangkok Port already and can let me know about the procedures for private persons?
I am living in Thailand since 30 years now but never did something like this.

If you have a proper Forwarder, pls let me know. I am thankfull for every information of people did it before or was planning to do it, Please spare me the
posts with - it will never work - or this is not possible .... if you have not make your own experiences before here in Bangkok Port.

It's not easy by yourself, you definitely need someone to help you. Lots of things to prepare for a smooth process. Is this coming to you as a company or as an individual?

I imported maybe 20 million baht's worth of high end computer equipment for my old company. I used a company / lady that was excellent at getting it released and sent on. This was 7 years ago now so I am only assuming she still does it. I'll PM you her details. She speaks excellent English.

thanks a lot, may be i can ask her whats the best way, i mean before i am paying 60.000.-Baht for the transport from Bkk to Nongkhai only, i do it by myself. We all know transport does not get any cheaper but thats double the price i expected for a PickUp load.
And no i dont have a company, but if its easier with a company i can for sure talk with a friend and doing it in his name.
