Trump's incompetency & idiocy

we know he's a senile old man that keeps contradicting himself on a hourly basis, creating chaos all over the world without any "sane" reason to do, could it destroy what's left of his legacy

it’s becoming clear that second-term Trump is sinking faster and deeper than Bush ever did, and the dead weight on his back is pretty much the same.

It’s really not ideology that’s tanking Trump right now. I mean, yes, his administration is the meanest, most xenophobic, and most imperialist in at least the past century.

the majority have seen the fiasco and his tantrum at the meet the press interview, when asked about certain topics that may negatively would affect him, he deflected and avoid answering, one thing I noticed is when he sat down at the beginning of the interviews his face was (as usual) orange but with so many lies and deflections that he couldn't face the truth, his face turned from orange to RED

"He went from orange to red," Democratic Senator Pat Murray wrote on social media. "While the President's tantrums are absurd, his delusions of voter fraud are dangerous. The President is an unhinged disgrace, and the American people deserve a Congress that will stand up to Trump's lies, not enable them."

Trump fumed at being questioned and jumped right to slinging insults.

"This is the behavior of a toddler and an a**hole. It is disgusting coming from a full-grown man who has the responsibility to make life or death decisions with the best available facts in the course of representing all Americans," he wrote.

Trump got a two-word nickname from classmates for avoiding the draft

Donald Trump was reportedly mocked by his former schoolmates as “Cadet Bonespurs” because a medical deferment allowed him to avoid the Vietnam-era draft.

That’s according to Art Davie, who once shared a room with Trump at the New York Military Academy when they were teenagers in the early 1960s.

The boys went their separate ways, and Davie eventually enlisted in the Marines and fought in Vietnam. However, he told The Daily Beast he still remembered the future president, recalling him already bristling with a sense that he should be a star.

“He was an egomaniac when he was 16,” Davie told the outlet. “He was a great flag waver for himself. He wanted everyone to recognize he was the GOAT in everything he did out there.”

Incompetency, idiocy and broken promises.

In a interview with Kristen Welker, Trump claimed:

I didn’t guarantee no war. So when you say I promised, I didn’t promise anything. I don’t like these endless wars. This is not an endless war. We’ve been doing this for three months.”

However:

In his July 2024 address to the Republican National Convention, he said, With our victory in November, the years of war, weakness, and chaos will be over. I don’t have wars.”

During an August 2024 rally in the swing state of Pennsylvania, he said: “Under Trump, we will have no more wars, no more disruptions, and we will have prosperity and peace for all.”

In an August 2024 interview with Adin Ross, an online personality, he promised, “And we won’t have wars again.

In his victory address in November 2024, he said: “Four years, we had no wars, except we defeated ISIS. … They said, ‘He will start a war.’ I’m not going to start a war, I’m going to stop wars.”

The well known magas here do not know what to say (because there is no way to defend the dealmaker of all dealmakers for failing to come up with any deal better than e.g. Obamas deals), that is why they better keep quiet in such posts :-)

the reactions to the so called "deal" are starting to pop up and doesn't appear to have much support as it's considered a total Trump surrender, quite sure he will turn the narrative around to make him look like he's ahead

But criticisms are ramping up now that an initial agreement appears to be solidifying.

Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina got the ball rolling on Sunday, in what seemed a rather passive-aggressive post on X.

While praising the effort to reach an initial deal, he said he was "somewhat concerned" that Iran's version of the details didn't match the Trump administration's.

Iran has said it will continue to charge fees for vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz after a 'last-minute' amendment to its ceasefire deal with the US.

Over the next 60 days, Tehran will guarantee free passage through the strait, but after the ceasefire extension period is over, ships will be required to pay tolls to cover security, navigation, environmental and insurance services.

The eleventh-hour change comes despite US President Donald Trump stating the vital waterway, set to reopen on Friday, would remain 'permanently toll-free'.

Trump’s $16m reflecting pool headache becomes fresh White House embarrassment

A costly White House project intended to showcase competence and renewal has instead become a growing political headache, with critics seizing on a deteriorating Reflecting Pool as a symbol of overpromising and underdelivering.

Questions are mounting after reports that paint applied during a multi-million-dollar refurbishment is peeling away in large sections, while algae problems that the project was meant to solve continue to attract public scrutiny.

OIP-1501047405.jpg

From Showcase Project to Political Punchline

The refurbishment was billed as a straightforward fix to a long-running problem. Supporters hailed it as evidence that the administration was tackling visible issues others had ignored.

But footage circulating online has fuelled doubts about official claims that conditions are improving. Critics argue the project has become a public relations own goal, with images of peeling surfaces undermining assurances that everything is under control.

Costs Rise as Expectations Collapse

The controversy has intensified because of the gap between early promises and the final price tag.

President Donald Trump reportedly suggested the work would cost a fraction of what it ultimately required. The project has now become another flashpoint in a wider debate over spending, delivery and whether headline-grabbing pledges can survive contact with reality.

Political opponents have been quick to draw parallels with other high-profile promises, arguing that the administration repeatedly sets ambitious targets only to struggle with execution.

Iran Comparison Backfires

The row escalated further after officials reportedly compared the Reflecting Pool project to the administration’s handling of Iran.

That comparison quickly turned against them. Critics seized on the analogy, arguing that both cases reflected a pattern of declaring victory before outcomes were secure.

What might otherwise have been viewed as a routine maintenance problem has become a broader test of credibility.

A Symbol Bigger Than a Pool

The political danger lies not in peeling paint alone but in what opponents say it represents.

For supporters, the project is a minor setback being exaggerated for partisan gain. For critics, it has become an easy metaphor for an administration struggling to match bold rhetoric with lasting results.

As the images continue to spread online, the Reflecting Pool risks becoming far more than a maintenance issue — it is rapidly turning into a symbol of a wider political argument.

'Fatal flaw'? Trump faces fierce patriotism backlash

Columnist Alexander Burns argues that Trump built his political identity around nationalism and national pride, yet now appears unable to recognise how strongly those same forces operate in other countries. That miscalculation is creating problems on multiple fronts. It is said to be straining relationships with international allies on the political right, complicating conflicts abroad, and creating political headaches for Republicans at home.

OIP-3718613805.jpg

The article points to a striking example involving Alberta Premier Danielle Smith. Smith has long been viewed as a populist figure with close links to parts of the American conservative movement and previously hosted Tucker Carlson in Western Canada.

Yet when she was asked at a Toronto policy summit about the prospect of Trump influencing Alberta politics, her response was blunt. Smith said: “I don't want any foreign influence in our politics here.”

That moment, the analysis argues, highlighted a key reality: nationalism does not stop at America's borders. Other countries are fiercely protective of their own sovereignty too.

Trump rose to prominence championing American sovereignty, tougher borders and national independence. He enthusiastically backed Britain's Brexit vote in 2016 and even dubbed himself “Mr. Brexit”.

But the analysis claims that understanding appears to have faded during his second term.

Burns argues Trump has repeatedly underestimated patriotic reactions in other nations. The result, he writes, has been a series of setbacks that have weakened his broader political objectives.

One example cited is Canada. According to the analysis, Trump's tariff threats and criticism of Canada failed to bend Ottawa to his will. Instead, they allegedly sparked a patriotic response that helped propel Mark Carney to power on a platform focused on resisting American economic pressure.

Ukraine is another example highlighted in the piece. Burns argues that Trump's confrontation with Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Oval Office and attempts to secure access to Ukraine's mineral wealth were viewed as challenges to Ukrainian sovereignty.

Rather than weakening Zelenskyy's standing, the analysis claims the Ukrainian leader suffered no political damage from rejecting Trump's approach.

The article also points to other international episodes. It says efforts involving Hungary, Brazil, Britain, Spain and Israel failed to produce the outcomes Trump sought.

At the centre of the criticism is Iran. The analysis argues Trump believed he could cripple Iran's leadership, force concessions through military action and secure a favourable outcome without deploying ground troops.

Instead, Burns describes the result as a prolonged stalemate that drove up energy prices and placed additional pressure on the global economy.

The criticism is not limited to Trump's opponents. The article notes that some figures on the international right who were once sympathetic to Trump have also expressed concerns.

OIP-2990763795.jpg

Jordan Bardella, viewed as the likely presidential candidate for France's National Rally, reportedly told Politico that Trump had become difficult to recognise compared with his earlier political image.

Bardella described the United States as behaving more like an “empire” and said Trump had become “extremely unsteady and constantly shifting”.

Like Smith, he also rejected the idea of foreign political interference. “We don't need to accept or open the door to any form of interference,” he said.

The analysis argues that these reactions reveal a recurring pattern. Leaders and voters who embrace nationalism in their own countries may still reject outside influence, even when it comes from ideological allies.

The Iran fiasco has truly shown the emperor has no clothes.

Before the Iran war, world leaders were tiptoeing around him, flattering him, even though privately they regarded him as politically inept and full of hyperbole.

Now he's mired in the mess, with the best he can do is potentially open the previously opened Hormuz Strait.

The world is openly laughing at him, contemptuous of a bumbling idiot, ' I am the president'.

It ll started because she didn't bend down to him when she disagreed with his start of the war in Iran

She is doing poorly in Italy with her level of popularity, possibly because she turned down the United States of America

Trump Trapped in ‘Flattery Bubble’, Biographers Warn

President Donald Trump is becoming increasingly isolated from political reality, according to two journalists who have closely chronicled his rise, arguing that a steady diet of praise and limited exposure to criticism is shaping decision-making at the highest levels of the White House.

Speaking in a television interview, New York Times reporters Jonathan Swan and Maggie Haberman said Trump's inner circle has created an environment where bad news rarely reaches the president, raising questions about how accurately he gauges public opinion.

A President Shielded From Criticism

Swan argued that Trump's information flow has narrowed significantly compared with his first term. Rather than encountering a broad range of views, he said the president now relies heavily on cable news, newspapers and conversations with allies who largely reinforce his existing beliefs.

According to Swan, aides are often reluctant to deliver unwelcome news, fearing the political cost of challenging the president directly. The result, he suggested, is an increasingly insulated decision-making process.

Loyalty Over Doubt

Haberman said those surrounding Trump remain deeply committed to him, even if not all are ideological supporters. She argued many within his orbit now identify more closely with Trump than with the traditional Republican establishment.

She also said legal battles during recent years strengthened that loyalty, with advisers believing Trump's political survival was tied to their own futures. That shared sense of jeopardy, she argued, helped cement a culture of unwavering support.

Success Breeds Confidence — and Risk

The authors suggested Trump's repeated political comebacks have reinforced confidence among advisers that he can overcome almost any setback. Haberman said associates frequently describe him as "the luckiest man in the world," pointing to a series of unexpected reversals of fortune throughout his career.

Critics argue that such confidence can make honest internal debate more difficult, particularly when major policy decisions are at stake.

A Debate That Shows No Sign of Fading

The interview has reignited discussion about how presidents receive advice and whether leaders benefit from hearing dissenting views alongside supportive voices.

Supporters argue Trump remains decisive because he trusts his instincts and loyal advisers. Critics contend that any administration risks becoming detached from public sentiment when uncomfortable truths struggle to reach the Oval Office.
