Best Day for Chaeng Wattana

Featured Replies

My apologies if this message is a duplication.

I need a new extension to my non-O for retirement. What is a good day to visit Chaeng Wattana this month? I am 83, so I will just walk in some afternoon at 12:30. I don't need an appointment. I will have all of my paperwork ready to go. Your advice will be appreciated.

compared to how it used to be any day is a good day, always been well organised and calm when i've been there, the only issues i've observed have been with foreigners, usually with a thai wife or partner in tow - make of that what you will...

Avoid Mondays and Fridays as those are usually worse.

It goes without saying, but I will say it avoid today and tomorrow this week because of the Songkran holiday closure this week. The place till be jammed

Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday are your best bet.

Remember they stop giving out queue numbers at 3:30, but once you have a queue ticket you'll be served that day.

Best of luck with it

OP, assuming you cannot get an appointment slot here is one suggestion.

Arrive prior to lunch break which is 12-1pm. Obtain your ticket queue #.

Note to be given a queue# you must show filled in TM7 with photo.

Use the break to do any photocopying etc on Level 1.

When return to enter after lunch break do not get into the long que.

You already have ticket.

Thanks, Drjack54. Which window to get my queue ticket? Do I get any priority for my age of 83?

Now I remember from last year. At my age, I don't have to wait in the regular queue. I just report to the appointments window . I will be sandwiched in between appointment holders. There's still some waiting time involved but not too much. The rule is written in the procedures somewhere.

Regardless of that you would be best advised to Not arrive at 12.30pm

The lunch break is 12-1pm.

Suggest arrive prior to midday even if by say 11.30

You will receive a queue # from L1 desk.
