Inhaler where to Purchase

Featured Replies

Anyone know where to purchase: TRELEGY Ellipta.

Trelegy Ellipta is a prescription-only inhaler that is used to help with COPD and asthma in adults.

Try your local government hospital.

Although I now bring my inhaler with me from Europe, I used to use this Bidol, which was available over the counter at my local pharmacy, and it worked perfectly well; if I remember correctly, it cost around 300 THB.

The one I showed is for mild asthma and has an extra ingredient in it specially for what my test results showed.

I do not think it is prescription only in Thailand. Other drugs in same class are not.

It is, however, an import and will be expensive.

Try Medisafe using the Chat function or Line app https://medisafepharma.com/chat/

I was told by my Doctor in Khon Kaen that it IS only available with prescription. Having said that I have found two pharmacies that are happy to sell over the counter.

One sells for 2900.00 (30 day supply) and the other 3200.00. The hospital that I see my doctor at charges over 5000.00.

I believe there is no equivalent to Trelegy Ellipta (an inhaler combining ICS + LABA + LAMA, known as triple therapy) available in Thailand, let alone over the counter. However, there are other combinations that may help you get by until you can obtain a proper prescription—for example, Symbicort plus Spiriva.

That said, getting these over the counter can be tricky. Given the complexities involved, I strongly recommend seeing a pulmonologist (or an internal medicine specialist if you’re in a more rural area). Discuss your history, previous symptoms, and the steps you and your doctor have taken before reaching Trelegy Ellipta. This will help you find the most appropriate inhaler combination for your condition. Only after that should you consider obtaining them on your own.

Symbicort Rapihaler is no problem in my experience. I've bought it over the counter without ever needing a prescription from my local pharmacies in Bangkok before, but in Australia a prescription is required.
