Drop Cord

Featured Replies

I have a yard now and need 30m extension cord to be used for power tools and whatnot.

I'm thinking 2.5 X 3 should be fine, but would 1.5 X 3 be okay, any thoughts?

Also, what three letter grade do I want, VCC?

Thanks!

For a 30m run 1.5x3 should be just fine and will fit easily in the available plugs and traily outlets.

We do have a long one that's 2.5x3 that I use for the welder but in truth it works fine on 1.5.

Regular VCT flex unless you intend dragging it through oil and water or running it over with the mower (all ours are VCT).

I like the Vena 3-pin plugs, easy to wire and meaty enough for old paws to grasp https://www.lazada.co.th/products/vena-male-plug-2-round-pins-with-tuv-certification-male-plug-power-plug-vena-plug-round-pin-male-plug-vena-assorted-colors-16a-250v-i5275348820-s22434481078.html?

Those rubber trailing outlets (2 or 4 way) are robust and cheap, available from multiple sellers and the DIY stores.
