Quirks if Re-Opening UK Parliment.

Today is the official opening of Parliment in the UK nothing strange in that but is the history behind it. History tells us that in 1642 King Charles 1 tried to enter Parliment to arrest 5 members . A person know as Blick Rod approaches the doors to the house of commons where the Door is slammed in his or her face, then he or she knocks three times for entry. On entry Black Rod asks members of Parliment to follow him or her into the House of lords where the Sitting king or Queen is waiting to to inform them of his or her rules for governing the Country. On returning the speaker is man handled by members of Parliment and forced into his chair in the Commons as Speaker of the Commons.
