I saw Rod Stewart 1968 Fillmore East as lead singer Jeff Beck Group. I was there to see the Grateful Dead

Wikipedia:

Beck said "We were literally down to one change of clothing each". Stewart has revealed that he and Ronnie were reduced to stealing hard boiled eggs from the Automat on 57th street. Grant's first stop for them was at the Gorham Hotel in New York City, just south of Central Park. The Jeff Beck Group then did four phenomenal shows at Fillmore East, where they played second on the bill to the Grateful Dead.

Is he not happily married, with quite a few residencies?

Shame use to like him but he's just another pig headed mutt...when will people with no talent other than singing or acting keep their politiceotl views themselves

He had some great songs in the '70s.

But whenever I hear the name "Rod Stewart", I'm reminded of Joan Rivers and South Park. Neither of whom were kind to him.

The infamous story that Rod Stewart had his stomach pumped after a sexual encounter with sailors in San Diego is a 100% false urban legend.

  • The Myth: The rumor claimed Stewart needed his stomach pumped at a San Diego hospital to remove "naval-issue semen" following an incident with sailors.

  • Persistent Rumor: Despite being untrue, the rumor spread rapidly in the 1980s and became a famous example of rock-and-roll gossip, often repeated and attributed to different celebrities, according to [Mel Magazine].

I first heard this rumor around 1978.

Jebus, how many sailors did he gobble ?

From a music perspective, the 60 were just a great time to be alive.

The Dead are dead.

Beck is still very much alive.

Saw him more recently as part of a festival in Hyde Park. Not really my thing, but now I have a new found respect for him. 😊

Where and when did he voice a political view?

Gosh... you guys don't seem that keen on free speech.

So, you don't figure calling Trump a little ratbag was a political view?

BTW, I absolutely agree he should be allowed to say it. Free speech and all...

I thought that was Janice Joplin. They do bear a striking resemblance...

Absolutely not political. That's his view of the man's character and it was expressed privately.
