My friend returned from a Thailand trip last year with a pretty sore throat.

After glancing around this website I learned that some of the stores/kiosks sell joint filters which are described as containing activated charcoal filters.

I thought I'd get some information about them to help my friend have a better and safer experience during future trips.

Are these filters worthwhile?

Do they also inadvertently filter out some of the cannabinoids?

Are some brands/offerings better than others?

What is a reasonable price to pay for them?

I don't know about those, but it reminded me of the sailors returning from Vietnam in the 60s with perfectly wrapped cartons of filtered cigarettes that only had about a 1/4 inch of tobacco on the tips.
