geoffphuket Posted August 27, 2007 Share Posted August 27, 2007 (edited) Today I cant access DivX Stage 6 : http://stage6.divx.com/ Or Guba: http://www.guba.com Along with VEOH and metacafe which were blocked the other day, and obviously youtube. Even more annoying, I can't open a a financial page that I rely on for my investments off shore. I wonder when this lunacy is going to end. It looks like we'll soon only be able to open Thai based web sites. RKASA Posted August 27, 2007 Share Posted August 27, 2007 If its blocked you should keep the big eye ball message and green screen, not that I have even been to a site that that happened, but other wise it could be dns issues because its not effecting everyone or every ISP. try adding at least one offshore dns address like opendns. I'm very sorry if I do so! But may you check the settings of your browser! ActiveX must be enabled same as Java, al;so do not block video! Could you tracert the sides? Oswulf Posted August 28, 2007 Share Posted August 28, 2007 There are three different bodies which block Internet access here: the Ministry of Information Communication Technology (MICT), the Royal Police, and CAT. MICT works by sending instructions to each ISP to block specific sites. The ISPs take a little while, and act with different efficiencies, in implementing each block request. This is why different users will experience different blocks at different times. For example, a friend who uses True told me that my Wordpress blog was blocked. I had no problem at the time, but 24 hours later TOT had blocked it too. And since then the block has come and gone; some days I can read my own blog. Other times I get the MICT message.
