Best Fish n Chips in Bangkok in 2026

Featured Replies

Right, where to find the best fish n chips in Bangkok these days?

I used to favor the Red Lion but not anymore.

Any recommendations?

Garret fish n chips.

Kai (New Zealand restaurant) is supposed to be one of the best Fish & Chips in BKK.

I've gone there 'for' the Fish & Chips and ended up ordering the Sunday Roast - so no first hand experience, but others suggest it is excellent.

Also Reportedly very good...

  • Busters

  • Garrett's

  • Fishmonger

Kai fish and chips. THB700. Goodness me.

Busters closed about 18 months ago. It was good.

Best now is one of the British pubs along Sukhumvit. Robin Hood is good. Royal Oak is good.

Do any of them use real fish- that tastes like fish?

The last few times I ordered "fish and chips" in Thailand, they used that tasteless, mushy Asian catfish (pangasius).

Battered Sea Bass at The Royal Oak goes pretty good.

Kai is still open. They moved to the building right next door on Sathorn Soi 12. We love their fish and chips!

I'm not a Fish and Chips expert, but there's an Irish Pub on Sukhumvit Soi 4 in Bangkok that usually has good food. The Blarney Stone. I like the place.
