Hot Water Pump Kettle Recommendation

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a hot water kettle recommendation. The ones I have had in the past usually have problems with the pump over time. The press pump either stops working or when you pump out water, the stream of water won't stop when you're not pumping.

Does anyone have a suggestion from experience regarding a good make and model in your opinion?

I gave up on the manual ones. We use a Toshiba 3.0L electric one from Global.

Like this? If it has an electric pump that seems like a good model to buy.

^ Yep and ours has a silver faceplate but is the same.

Using Coway water filter with hot/cold water and ice dispenser.

Having had at least 3 of these things fail due the faults mentioned by the O/P, I have switched back to using a good old fashioned electric kettle. Cheaper to buy, more economical to use and much more reliable.

If your just after hot water why not use an empty tray coffee maker? We've been using our cheap "Otto" coffee maker for years w/o any problems.

I've got a Sharp 2.8 litre that has been used daily for 13 years with no problems. If the pump fails you can buy and fit new bellows.

Cup or teapot/coffee pot in the microwave with just as much water as needed is boiling in two minutes.

We use a Toyota 3.0 litre Vigo. 555

Under what circumstances would you need 3 litres of boiling water?

Well if you believe what you see in the movies "childbirth" requires a fair amount,, never quite worked out what they do with it though
