It might only be me. The only reason that I've said this is because I honestly can't get some parts of the website working.

If you go to this link:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/

where I am in Phuket, it just simply won't load at all. It will via a proxy server. Also, the Veoh video network doesn't work.

I'd say that I'm paranoid, but I've asked other people to do it as well where I am living, and I'm not the only one.

It hasn't worked for two days now.

not me, we were streaming BBC radio on Sunday morning. Website seems to work well.

Thailand sets date for election

If you look for this piece in the bbc.co.uk/news website, you'll find it doesn't have very flattering comments at the end of it's article about Thailands prospects in the new election. I'd post it, but I honestly think that it's probably better that people look for it themselves on the bbc website if they can.

I'm gettin it in Phuket.

There is a comment on the BBC site about coalition governments being shortlived and corrupt (in their opinions), and frankly, who can disagree with them.

My wife summed it up well, "they are all corrupt, but at least Thaksin gave something to the poor, the others just took everything for themselves"

It's the same old-same old here.

My partner actually got onto it eventually, it was just extremely slow.

I think their proxy server must be having problems.

I just feel a little frustrated at some of the censorships, as with the Veoh network, I can't watch some movies I want to watch, and they've got nothing to do with politics.

I am scared to get involved in having any opinion in Thailand regarding politics. Most people I know actually really liked Thaksin where I am in Phuket. Of course I've read around in this website and there are a lot of mixed views, but just talking to Thai people day to day, I find that many people said he had a good heart.

They don't talk disrespectfully of their government or any aspect of the coup; it's almost as if it didn't happen sometimes, but they haven't talked disrecpetfully of Thaksin to me, like I read in English papers.

Thanks for at least putting my mind at rest about the bbc. I thought that would be a bit far.
