My WASP Generation: Is this girl HOT, or not?

My WASP Generation: Is this girl HOT, or not?

Dear Folks,

These days, on YouTube, I rarely find a video which so closely resonates with my culture, my views, my sense of upper-crust sensibility.

Finally, I have found one, thanks to the Google YouTube algorithm.

What do you think?

Is this girl HOT, or not?

She, this girl, is pretty close to my idea of what a woman should be.

Why do I start this Topic?

Because, I know that there will be a large fraction of TV members who will very much appreciate this precious view into a life which has been lived at a higher plane, completely different than lives lived in places such as GoGo Bars.

Personally, I did not come to Thailand for sex.

I came for the culture

And, this video reminds me that there is culture, everywhere, even in NYC, but probably not in the Bronx.

When I was young, I was a huge fan of Sidney Poitier.

And, to Sir with love.

(PLEASE ENTER SIDNEY'S images HERE...THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE TV server....sorry)

So, anyway, I really enjoyed this great video about a girl who loves books.

She is NO INTELLECTUAL, by any means, of course.

She would NOT have enjoyed the company of my fellow alum, Noam, for example.

BUT, she is a true WASP, and Noam was not, of course.

So, the question is:

Would YOU be able to live with her, this NYC lady, with all the stuff she has packed into her tiny NYC apartment?

Or, do you think she might be a borderline hoarder of nothing of value?

Just a question.

Because, I ask you:  What is REALLY of value in this life?

Still, a great video.

And, I thank this woman for sharing with us her home.

Best regards,

Gamma

Note2: Getting Old is a Very Sad Thing to Do…..

Note3:  I just hope that this Topic is CLEAR…..

Note4: You know...Life, these days, is not what it once was when I was growing up; I mean the pretentious life that I once valued. I miss it so.....

I believe this.

I am glad to know there is at least one man of respect, such as you.

Note: This comment is anything BUT facetious.

I, too, came to Thailand for culture.

You mean like the yogurt? Anyway, I came purely for the elephants, the markets, the temples, the food, the beaches... How can you even be sure there is any sex at all in the land of vertical smiles? An urban myth, that is.

Are you kidding me? Shows how long you've been trapped in your freezer in the middle of nowhere. The Bronx now has SoBro. Like SoHo or Williamsburg, but different. It's hip and has been for 20 years already. Maybe you need to defrost a bit. See the world.

Accent.... up myself Merican'!

Are you joking?

What is 20 years to me?

I take the long view.

That's actually a bit sad and if I’d told you that 20 years ago, you wouldn’t have even believed me. But getting older isn’t sad if you’re still enjoying the ride. If you’re living life on your own terms, there’s nothing to be sad about. Think about it. It’s all a matter of perspective.

Long or short view is irrelevant. The point is you missed it!

You into women who smoke or just find that froggy gravel voice sexy?

I got a baby boner for Susan Saint James as a young lad, but c'mon.

Yuck like kissing an ashtray

And the smell gets on everything literally coating the walls and ceilings with toxic byproducts of combustion of nicotine.

Pass.

People who live in NYC have a very colloquial lifestyle. Some seldom go farther than a few blocks away.

Yeah, they think of themselves as "worldly" because they're interacting with people from all around the world.

I'd make the case that Thailand, especially the North is like the NYC of Asia with a blend of so many different immigrant groups.

FUN FACT: Yunnan China is now considered an ecological paradise for nature because it's people were forcibly depopulated hundred of years ago forcing them to move South to Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand.

Toss in the people from Tibet who were forced to come here

In America, we usually see Cantonese sometimes Vietnamese sometimes Korean and occasionally Japanese and of course every other Asian including Lao Hmong, for example but it's not as diverse as here.

Yeah, NYC is a great place to check out museums, etc.

If I was living in that apartment I would try and spend as much time outside as possible only using it to sleep.

How old are you?

You seem, judging by your writing, to be about.....19...

I have heard that there are some young international students here in Thailand who lurk on TV....

Are you one?

Oh,

Originally, I had mistakenly read......

"up myself Mexican'!"

Thank god, on the second reading, I now see that you did not write this.

Take a drive through the Yucatan Peninsula, why don't you?

The drive is simply incredible.

Do it in a Mercedes Benz, like I did, years back......

Such an unforgettable drive.

You will enjoy it.

Yes, I’m a continuing studies student of carnal knowledge. The thing is, I still smash like I’m 19, and the chicks really dig that. Having a Sasquatch sized unit helps too. Saves a lot of time on tiresome marketing and networking.

Haven’t owned a TV in decades, though. Any good these days? How big are they now? Have they finally made it to 19 inches yet? I pretty much stopped following the industry when things got out of hand and jumped to 13.

Yep, me too!

I don't live in the past....

Was going to respond to the OP with out paying attention. Then scrolled back. Nope . Nothing to be contributed to baiting Sh#t.

This kind of nonsense is the end of informative forums designed to help people who are genuinely looking for guidance in culture foreign to their original upbringing.

Yes.

I enjoyed the video of her apartment.

BUT, did you see the house she grew up in???

Now THAT is a beauty.

There is a photo of it hanging on the wall of her apartment.

Not sure if its in South Hampton or in Mississippi.

Correct.

Most NYC apartments don't have AC. 😜

Well, definitely, I did come to Thailand for the culture of Chiang Mai.

And, this is why I am staying.

I am also staying because I enjoy the people up here in Chiang Mai and the Lana culture.

Once you make a few friends, then they become quite caring and helpful friends.

I also do not like the consumerism, and the competitive nature, meaning conspicuous consumption, of places like Thailand, with all its Mercedes Benz owners and super high property prices (for garbage basically), in Taiwan, and the backbiting passive aggressive Taiwanese, and it's only much worse in the USA, in places like Naples FLA, or most anywhere in the USA, these days.

So, of course I am here for the culture.

I can't think of a better place.

And, all that junk in the NYC apartment....

How does her husband tolerate this?

Still, if this is what provides the nice old lady comfort and peace, then I enjoy seeing it, for a short time, and no more.

So now, life with this old woman might be quite comfortable for someone like you.

BUT, this old woman was super beautiful and very alluring when she was 16.

And, there is a picture of her with her mother attached to the wall.

That was in the 60s.

And, she was just the kind of girl I would drool over, at the time.

Beautiful long blond hair, and everything.

Obviously, she attended some private school, which would have been right for me, too.

But now, all has changed, due to the passage of time.

The girl she once was has left.

And, what remains is what you see stored in her apartment, and hanging on the walls.

I would rather not think about it.

But, one must think about.
