I suppose the Wiang Inn is a few metres closer but as regards comfort, I wouldn't know since I have been living in my home here for over 6 years and the wife still hasn't kicked me out.

I think the Wiang Inn would be the better place, but the Diamond Park Inn is good value for money at around 850 baht.

There is also a slow bus that stops and picks and drops off people along the way and also goes into every small town. I loved to take that bus, as every time we did I saw something new because the bus went so slow. I may be strange in that regard.
