No big loss. Last April, Healey gave an excruciating interview where he couldn't quantify the amount of frigates the UK had, let alone their active status. A classic 'the dog ate my homework' moment.

How do you stop things going down the toilet? You become the solution.

Better get your happy arse back home, put on your hoodie, grab a can of beer and go out and trash and burn the place.

You are the one pissing and moaning about "invasions" and "loss of rights" and "two-tier" nonsense back in your Godforsaken homeland, not me.

Never mind, no need to go all coy and homophobic just yet, @baansgr reckons you're an alright bloke.

A clear case of nothing worth saying and not amusing your spouting yet again.

I wonder when the leadership challenge will happen and new leader be selected..

Thanks for clicking, reading and responding to my posts yet again.

Wishful thinking there. Have you identified any likely new Labour 'leaders' yet? Thanks to the vote-splitting of Restore, and the lack of any practical solutions to anything from Reform, Starmer, for all his hapless hopelessness, is in this for the long haul.

Suck it up buttercup.

Buttercup?

No, I have no idea when or who that's why I asked.

UK politics is a huge mess right now. Look at the Tories. Destroyed at the last election - and in Opposition they couldn't coax any big names to take on the Leadership role. The extremist Farage is the one who gets all the press - and he's a moron. In my opinion, the country is pretty much f'd right now.

Good take on the ins and outs here.

There was similar despondency when Blair was elected and William Hague became party leader. The difference is Starmer is not Blair, and lacks his charisma. The Tories tried the experiment of Michael Howard and Ian Duncan Smith, before realising that lurching to the right was not the secret to returning to power, or becoming a credible opposition. The Tories will be back. They are not the world's oldest and most successful political party for nothing.

Remember, "Big names" were not always Big names. Margaret Thatcher was 11 years an MP before making cabinet. When she became Party leader, she had never held any great office of state, and was dismissed as a no hoper. But she cut through party lines, and appealed to parts of the population that the party could not reach before, because of her own background and real world experience, not because she was an old Etonian who imagined what it must have been like the be working class (why Boris's Red Wall was so superficial; he picked up their votes with no real understanding of them, because he could never understand them). There is a solid 10-12% country, with conservative values, fiscally and socially, who really don't like the language that Reform and Restore are using to describe them. Yes, these are the children of the African immigrants, the descendants of the Asian Ugandan refugees running takeaways, those who fled the war in East Pakistan, now in your corner shops, the Polish plumbers, the Romanian bricklayers etc. Kemi does have credibility, and is underestimated, including by me.
