Starmer Expected To Ban Under-16s From TikTok, Instagram And Snapchat

Funny how leftist BlueSky isn't getting banned for under-16s — the same platform crawling with MAPs ('minor attracted persons') and CSAM issues that their own mods admitted struggling with. Selective enforcement much?

It is on the ban list.

Technology Secretary Liz Kendall confirmed that the platform will be subject to the ban, as it falls under the definition of "user-to-user" platforms that enable social interaction

Seems so indeed.

Kendall said she was “very happy to read any submission anybody makes” but her priority was “British young people”.

They have surely done that and have a stellar trackrecord doing it.

The UK rape gang inquiry report just dropped:

1. At least 250,000 young White girls were groomed, raped, trafficked, and tortured.

2. Perpetrators followed consistent tactics of befriending vulnerable girls as young as 11 with gifts, drugs, and alcohol before subjecting them to group rapes, violence, blackmail, pregnancies, forced conversions, and trafficking.

3. UK institutions—including police, social services, schools, NHS, and politicians—catastrophically failed victims through denial, ignored reports, criminalization of victims, destruction of evidence, and prioritization of political correctness and fears of “racism” accusations over child protection.

4. 87–95% of convicted perpetrators in group-based child sexual exploitation cases were Muslim. It was predominantly Muslim Pakistani gangs. They operated across 149 local authority districts. Groups from Somali,

Iranian, Syrian, Turkish, and other Muslim origins were also involved.

5. The Muslim perpetrators operated under an honour- and

shame-based clan code that treated non-Muslim girls, especially White working class girls, as property available for sexual use. Girls were told that they’re “White trash” who deserved punishment.

People need to go to prison for this.

This is just the start. A part of Labour's insistence on us all having ID cards. Little by little it will lead to no one, adults included being able to use any part of the internet without giving ID. No privacy or encryption for the public.

But like many ill thought out plans, it will have unintended consequences, and there will likely be future data breaches where people will have their personal data stolen because it is being stored on internet companies servers.

Already, Australia's version is proving this, and now other countries are also jumping on the bandwagon.

You make a valid point.

This Social media ban will affect everyone in the UK when it comes into effect.

If you are over 16 and in the UK you will need to prove it to use SM, exactly how they intend to do this is not clear, like face recognition, or passport info etc but for sure the government will be collecting all this information. For what purpose?

Of course they will be collecting it ,the purpose being to surveil, censor, manipulate and criminalise dissenting voices.

They want to control everyone and everything.

Next up in the EU's crusade to 'protect vulnerable children': banning or age-gating VPNs so no one can circumvent the new mandatory age verification systems.

(European Parliamentary Research Service briefing & Henna Virkkunen's comments)

Labour are looking at VPN bans, overnight curfews and introducing total State control of the internet.
