Nope, what bothers me is the ingrained ignorance, and mixing up pneumonia with pneumococcus. I was genuinely trying to be helpful in a non-partisan way, but you decided to be a Russian w⚓ about it. Remember, it was you who decided to share your medical history with the whole world, when there was no need, in a discussion about, essentially, how 60% of new air force recruits declining a fairly innocuous vaccine (that's probably the more surprising aspect, less so than the Air Force's own rules. Its one thing to be a 20 year old and decide "I'm not paying for that shot" versus "I'm not taking that free shot") seems to have resulted in an unseasonal outbreak (spread because they live in communal barracks). Its a worrying sign about how much vaccine-phobia has percolated through society. I'm not bothered whether you are a homosexual or not, but found it strange of all the vaccinations you could have raised as an example, you picked that one and then linked it to sexuality. You could have picked HPV vaccination as an example of a vaccination you don't need, because clearly you are not female and there are no direct benefits to men from that vaccine (the only benefit is to their partner). Or, at a stretch, picked tetanus, because you are not much of a gardener or home mechanic (yes, we are all supposed to have a booster every 5 years or so, but frequently, we often only get the booster following an injury). I've had my full blue book. You can look up what that means. It means it I have vaccinations based on work requirements. I know I will have had at least one vaccination pretty much every American will not have received (except a really tiny number). Have a think about that one, what it could be. Its one of the older, old school shots, pretty potent, can harm babies, because its a live vaccine. But the reasons why Americans won't get it are interesting.
