Learn to Speak Like Obama

Featured Replies

Obama was a master orator.

Let's face it. Some of you on here are not the best communicators.

So what are you doing wrong?

Maybe you can pick up some tips from Obama to improve your skills and be more memorable.

Tip 1; Start with a compliment

How many of you guys on here compliment other posters? Hardly ever. And that's why you suck at communication.

Tip 2: Laugh at yourself / Self-deprecating humor

How many of you do that? Not many

The video neglects to mention the pauses and the cheesy phrases like "Yes, We Can".

Yes, I'd say Obama is an eloquent speaker, though I often disagree, or lack trust, with the substance of what he is saying. I do find it impressive when he glides down a flight of stairs with the grace of Fred Astaire.

It's the lack of education.

I reckon the worst communicators here have had no college or university, school drop outs, probably only travelled as a sex tourist from their home country to Thailand.

These types get frustrated with themselves when in conversation, then they retaliate with hostility
