I’m not name-calling. Calling them the looter class is an accurate statement. They don’t create property; they steal it.

Thats capitalism. so you like trump all the corruption and greed !! that is what capitalism is it is a system based on inequality, claiming that big businesses and wealthy individuals thrive, while laborers are oppressed and often unable to get ahead, no matter how hard they work.

Capitalism is based on the voluntary exchange between a willing buyer and a willing seller.

Without profit, there would be no business and no tax base.

Yes ! Democratic socialism does not aim to abolish business or taxation, but rather to shift the goal of the economy from maximizing private wealth for a few to meeting the needs of the majority. Instead of profit being hoarded, as in Capitalism to one person it is democratically managed or redistributed to sustain robust public services

No it doesn’t, Chile was functioning well under the democratically elected Socialist leader Salvador Allende until US threw $$$$ at opposition leader, mass murderer Pinochet to destabilise the country.

Vietnam is a successful Socialist country and Nordic countries seem to be successful under their policies closely allied to Democratic Socialism.

Before you remind me with that oh so side splitting “Socialism is ok until you run out of other people’s money “ maybe you can reflect upon how many trillions of $$$$$$ in debt US has racked up during the Orange Moron’s latest tenure.

1) Socialism worked in Chile if you like hyperinflation and economic stagnation. Is that your measure of success?

2) Vietnam was not successful until it allowed capitalism. The same goes for China.

3) The Nordic countries are free market economies with huge welfare states.

4) Who is the "Orange Moron", and do you want me to give the next lecture on the spending process in the federal government?

In the end, Socialism is for losers and always fails.

If you read my post "While both originate from socialist theory, they differ significantly" at least you know what Democratic socialism is not like the other posters

They don't differ at all. Socialism is a system in which the government, i.e., the people, own the means of production. Putting the word "democratic" in front of "socialism" does not change the meaning of "socialism". In the end, socialism always fails.
