When I lived in Pasadena, California twelve years ago we used to spend Saturday nights up on the roof with a few beers and just listen to the shootings and watch the police cars and helicopters flying around. It's a thing about the Swiss Army/militia, you have to keep a weapon at home, after a certain time you can give it up, or you can keep it. Maybe some one else knows more. coldcrush Posted August 29, 2007 Share Posted August 29, 2007 Very interesting articles LaoPo, it does also indicate that the handgun being the weapon of choice as high as 75%. this would coincide with the fact that they are easy to hide and a preferred choice for lower risk of being caught in the open. The story of the student whos Dad taught him how to shoot is a puzzle, as it stated he had no previous delinquency or violent behavior. Would it not be fair to say that being taught in the workings and use of a gun could in many cases be teaching a bad discipline to a young man? Thats in addition to the assault rifles that the Home Guard is keeping at home. I don't know how many they are today. This is the registered weapons. Then there is about 500 000 shotguns that are unregistered becouse you did not have to do this prior to 1990. So 1.8 million firearms in a population of 4,5 million.
