So no mention of the biggest thing that needs fixing ? Can't say I'm surprised, He has no intention of stopping the invasion, and no plans to deal with the illegal immigrants,

The biggest thing he has his eye on is the Tax increase he has planned , ensuring he can put more money into the pockets of illegal immigrants , the workshy and all the other scroungers.

Nobody should expect anything to improve , just look at the state of Manchester , if you wish to see what's coming, The city centre, home to thousands of filthy homeless. living in urine soaked tents or shop doorways awash with human waste , off their heads on "Spice" or Crack or whatever else they can get their filthy hands on, taking their drugs openly on the streets begging from and in many cases intimidating law abiding citizens going about their business while the police more often than not simply look on,taking little action , presumably as instructed

It's literally like a dystopian wasteland, and the guy who is responsible for it, "Andy" will now be "running" the country,

The data suggests things are improving:

But we do know him, from years ago, it's just that he was so useless back then that most have forgotten him, I can vaguely remember him embarrassing himself and getting booed at a football stadium by relatives of the Hillsborough victims

And there was something in the back of my mind about his time spent failing as health minister with the Mid Staffs NHS scandal that lead to hundreds of unnecessary deaths

I think it’s the tax thing that’s got the rightwing press all breathless.

I don't care what your data shows, statistics can prove anything, even that the majority of people have more than the average number of legs, its all meaningless,

Ask the people of Crowborough if they think things are improving, or should those "racists" just stop moaning and gratefully open their hearts to the pleasures of diversity that are about to be bestowed upon them and their womenfolk

Never here Keir' will never be here again ..Result, now the next clueless turd' is at the polishers ready for Mondays' crowning debacle.

As the Big things' will undoubtedly lead to selling the Big Issue' in under a year looking at what he's got to work with🤔

Go Burnham, price out the working class from bacon and egg in the morning, -for the climate. its not as if the brits could use warmth

Its strange isn't it , I don't think many "selfish" people are too keen on paying more tax in order to support the illegal immigrants who hate us and our culture.

So here's a thought, as you and your ilk are all in favour of helping these itinerant rapists and scroungers, why don't you all make some additional voluntary tax contributions, that way not only you will all get the warm smug feeling from helping those "less fortunate than yourselves , but if you all put your money where your mouths are, the rest of us will be able to spend more of our hard earned cash on ourselves and not on foreigners who consider us to be subhuman

I'm sure said foreigners only consider those with such thoughts as yours, who would be a vast minority, as sub human.

Nah stick with whatever nonsense you are fed, the data doesn’t feed your needs.

Well there you go with your strawman, paying tax for illegal immigrants.

cheesy So was Starmer and look what happened to him, clap2 why should Burnham fare any better.

Raising taxes , failing to stop the boats, attacking pensioners, and the highest energy bills in the world did not work so well for Starmer,

Continuing the same actions whilst believing the end result will be different, isn't that a sign of incompetence? or is it insanity

The honeymoon period for the Thunderbirds puppet lookalike is already over

FAB thunderbirds are go !

Even the right wing propaganda spouting entertainment channel GB News has begrudgingly admitted that the smashing of the gangs is bearing fruit, with small boat crossings down 40%.

https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/politics/small-boat-crossings-uk-data-2026-gb-news-407791/

You guys gave Starmer about 30 seconds to instantly stop all crossings. It must hurt you to see that they have been coming down under Labour.

From the link above:

The waters have been calm in recent weeks, yet the numbers haven’t spiked or reach four-figure daily totals in that time. It’s enough evidence for GB News’ Mark White to give the Labour government their dues:

“We haven’t been talking a lot about small boats, because there have been big gaps in terms of the crossings. There have been spells which aren’t just down to bad weather. But we have to be honest, the numbers are right down.”

“We can reveal that 12,500 small boat migrants have crossed the English Channel this year. That’s stark enough… But the numbers are down on last year, where we saw 41,000 cross the Channel. So we’re currently on course to be 40% on the figure from the previous year.”

White, who serves as the Home and Security Editor for GB News, has been a staunch critic of Starmer and his handling of the small boats situation. However, he told viewers over the weekend that he ‘accepts his policies are having an effect’. Quite simply, the numbers don’t lie.

“I am sure this pretty controversial. But part of me would accept that some of this ‘smash the gangs’ policy is having an effect. It is absolutely true that there are more police on the coastline of France. The conditions are flat and calm, and we’d usually get a thousand in a single day.”

Not true at all there have "only" been 12 days were more than 1000 illegals arrived , recently there was 128 on a single boat!

Obviously any reduction in the number of those arriving is welcome, but it should never have been allowed to get to this stage in the first place, Its also not just about stopping other would be illegal immigrants from arriving , as the ones that are already here all need deporting, and as soon as possible

This is not all labour's fault , the previous Conservative government failed to sort this out too. likewise lefty lawyers and civil servants deserve a large part of the blame

I have no idea who or what " my strawman" is or how much he pays in tax

So tell me how is their quality time spent loitering around schools and shopping centers in the UK funded then ? How is their 5 star accommodation paid for? How do they pay for their phones , their alcohol and their cigarettes, and the black bubble coats that they all wear ? with lottery money?

Will you be happy to see the triple lock on the state pension cancelled , dragging thousands of vulnerable elderly folk into poverty? Just as long as the Afghani rapists and the IRGC hit squads and any other miscreants get the legal aid they "deserve" it will all be worthwhile eh?

The 5 star accommodation you refer to is a lie, the rest of your anti immigrant rant is mix of the gross pejorative generalizations we can expect from any racist, yourself included.

The Triple Lock is almost certainly going to be withdrawn, when is the only question. Its withdrawal will have everything to do with sustainability and zero to do with your immigrant nonsense.

Given that pensioners disproportionately voted for the Brexit which has wiped between £180 Billion and £240 Billion off the UK economy it is only fair they get to shoulder some of the pain.

As an aside, every penny spent on asylum seekers is spent t in the UK economy, it is spent in local businesses and attracts VAT. It’s not money that ‘disappears’.

Firstly, there will be the economic collapse, then the breakdown of society. We will probably get to see it in our lifetime.

At the moment, the UK is a ticking time bomb.

Picture Belfast / The Troubles, but all over the island. Martial Law / curfews. Army on the streets. Basically, Covid again, but as a war zone.

Not being in the EU, why should the EU help out? Little wonder there is some banter about rejoining. The UK knows that one day in the future it will need to call on larger military support, on its own soil.

I would agree that the rightwing media is not giving Burnham any period of grace.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such breathless attempts to scupper a PM before they’ve even taken office.

If a Prime Minister is elected, in the generally accepted sense of being the leader of the party which has just stood, under his or her leadership, in a General Election, then by convention the presd and media, left or right leaning, generally extend a period of grace.

Burnham quite obviously hasvnot done that. He has risen to pwer through party intrigues, and has never presented himself to the electorate. Therefore no period of grace.

oooops apologies it must be t' predicted text acting up

Go steady with the racist accusations , I detest all illegal immigrants and sex offenders regardless of ethnicity. I also dislike mobs of masked up youths loitering around schools, town centers and shopping malls intimidating people again regardless of ethnicity. It would actually be impossible to dislike any specific race or colour in particular as they are invariably masked up

Yeah the state pension is "unsustainable" due in no small part to the amount of money spent on illegal immigrants and it will take more than that lot buying their Diamond White and Lambert and Butlers at the corner shop to put the country back on its feet

Now you would "punish" pensioners because you think they are responsible for brexit. You have no idea which way they voted, its confidential, and anyway a large proportion of them are dead , The brexit vote was pretty close you'll be punishing as many remoaners as brexiteers

Thank you for repeating your gross perjorative generalizations as evidence that you are indeed a racist.

Pensioners sharing the burden of the damage they disproportionately supported is not a punishment.

Come on, "5 star accommodation" is one of the most pathetic lies out there. Do you not have the ability to check or research anything by yourself??

And you really think everything that is wrong with the UK is because of this spend? Do you know how much we spend on asylum seekers? How much as a percentage of GDP? Or how much as a percentage of the NHS budget, or of pension spend?

It is infinitesimally small. Maybe 0.1% of GDP, which is maybe 1.5-2%% of the NHS budget.

It is not the cost of asylum seekers that affects the UK pension, or the NHS budget, or causes potholes to go unfixed. It is chronically bad management and neglect, mainly over the 14 years of Tory rule. Absolutely NOTHING to do with asylum seekers.

Really?? Can you share a link to the news of him saying he's going to move number 10 to Manchester? And how much it'll cost?

No. 10 North is a proposal by Labour Party leader

Andy Burnham

to move part of the British Prime Minister's Office (known metonymically as

No. 10 Downing Street

) from London to Manchester in the North of England.
