Israel has been a reliable non-Muslim ally in the Middle East since 1948, which is exactly what the U.S. needed and is in the best interest of the U.S. people. During the Cold War years, Israel was a m effective counterweight to the influence of the Soviet Union and now serves the same function against Iran and its proxies.

Radical expansionist Islamism is today the greatest threat the Western world faces and the U.S. couldn't have a better ally than Israel in this ultimate clash of civilizations.

the jew haters are squirming that the saudis are now joining in the pounding on the side of israel.

Yeah, clash of civilizations and fear of expansionism.

Meanwhile mass immigration of the enemy to EU countries.
Makes no sense.

The elites hide in their gated mansions and make us fight with each other.

Making a realistic assment doesn't mean approving the reality described. Whatever one may think about it, that's the sad reality. This fascist religious regime won't be sanctioned by Iranian voters, and they perfectly know that Trump's fate is conditioned by the midterms.

As you mentioned it, how has Trump improved Iranian people's situation?

He told them to go on protesting and that the US will help them. As the 'help' never came, the only tangible outcome is that more of them got jailed, tortured and killed. Add to it hundreds of civilians killed by Israel and the US......

What's the alternative though? From an American perspective. You don't need to answer i k ow you're not american

What's the alternative? That's the key problem. There's no good military option for the US, it's too late. Trump ****** it up.

Well summarized here by the nonpartisan CFR:

I mean what was a better option for the US. What should we have done, for our best interest? You don't know because you are only here to criticize. Your type doesn't have any ideas of your own

What's happening currently and until Trump is out of office is either Iranian people take their country back or it will be a permanent war until a democrat becomes president (not happening)

"Trump said already what happened. The war was over after one day."

Yeah, someone forgot to tell the Iranians that.

'Iran launches surprise attack on U.S. forces overnight.'

https://www.cnbc.com/2026/07/29/us-iran-war-hormuz-centcom.html

'Iran targeted American forces in the Middle East with ballistic missiles late Tuesday stateside, U.S. Central Command said, raising tensions in the region again after the warring sides had briefly halted hostilities.

Centcom in a post on X said the attack originated from Iran, but all missiles were intercepted. “Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces launched multiple ballistic missiles from Iran in an attempted surprise attack on U.S. forces based in the Middle East.”"

America is financially bankrupt.

Not really. American assets in terms of corporate equity and real estate are such that you could say America is richer than God. They could abolish the deficit with a small tax, but no need, why not let foreigners pay for US consumption?

So, the US budget deficit is NOT a problem. Got it!

Man, it's so nice to hear from someone with such a profound knowledge of macro economics every once in a while!thumbsup

I did not say that of course, the interest has to be paid, but it's not a problem of the kind the left tries to make out. America can easily handle it. Quite easily.

Only the interest has to be paid? The only way they manage it is by borrowing more. You know trees don't really grow into the sky?

Of course. As long as they get their interest payed out regulary by issuing more bonds to pay the interest. The dept "pricipal" will never be payed back.

The US has found a way to avoid financial troubles: Kicking down the can down the road. And the rest of the world finds this perfectly OK.🙂

For a start, not scrap the JCPOA.

The US had a working agreement with Iran known as JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action). Iran agreed to restrict its nuclear program and allow international inspections in exchange for the lifting of economic and nuclear-related sanctions.

But the United States formally withdrew in 2018. As you might recall, it was the Trump administration who withdrew the agreement.

The 47th created (again) a problem that wasn't existing.

To come back to your question "What should we have done, for our best interest?"

I assume you know the answer...

If that were to happen, it would not be to America's detriment. Unless the IOU takers suddenly disappear, which is not really going to happen when the American pie has such substantial crumbs to dispense.

That's exactly right, because those who buy US IOUs make Okay money with it. No Swiss or German bank ever protested at making money off of US government bonds.

Cam, are you telling me that the US govt pays interest on its bonds on a timetable reliably? I wonder what per cent of the US budget that cost!
