Egg on the Faces of MAGAs

Well, it’s over, and don’t the MAGAs and their State Media look silly.

Yup, charges have been dropped against those who were erroneously and stupidly charged with vandalizing the Reflecting Pool. Some adult in the White House finally admitted the fault for the disaster sits squarely and solely with the Trump donor who won the $15 million no bid contract to ostensibly clean the pool.

I saw on Fox (Comedy Channel? It’s certainly not a news network) that (comedian) Jesse Watters repeatedly ran a video clip on a person touching the algae-filled water, and exclaiming so vehemently you’d think he’d solved the Zodiac Killer murders, that “What could that person possibly be doing?” Well, Jesse, touching the water. That’s it. Nobody took a box cutter and walked ten minutes running it along the bottom to slash the lining. Lefties don’t have some secret Algae Grow concoction they can teaspoon into a massive pool and make algae reproduce faster than a new Trump grift.

On Friday, US Attorney Jeanine Pirro dropped all charges, after that anonymous adult in the White House admitted reality.

What will not go away with the charges dropped, however, is the disgrace and the obvious lying, or insanity, of Trump. He bullied innocent people because of his own corruption and failings. His insecurity is so severe that he made up the lie of vandalism, charging innocent people with no evidence and forcing them to assume legal costs and likely suffer some mental anguish. Also, the US Taxpayer is stuck with more Trumpian waste….not as bad as his stupid war of choice, but still wasteful

And the MAGAs who bought into Trump’s bizarre absurdity, so dum(b) as to believe “lefties” caused the damage…well, they just reinforce the truth of a line Trump uttered in 2025:

“Smart people don’t like me”.

One can deduce from that remark that it is dumb people who do like Trump and who do believe whatever drivel spews from Trump’s gaping maw.

And just to remind everyone, also attached is a photo of the real guilty party.

From the motion to dismiss:

Based upon the initial reports provided by the Department of the Interior (“DOI”) and the

USS. Park Police (“USPP”), the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia

(“USAO-DC’) presented the grand jury with evidence that damage to the Reflecting Pool was

caused by vandals, including the defendant in this case, David Hearn,

However, it was not until after the return of the indictment, that the DOI provided additional documents to the USAO-DC indicating that damage to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in June 2026 was the result of flawed installation by the contractor, Atlantic Industrial Coatings (“AIC”), and the rush to complete the project prior to events associated with the America 250 celebration in the weeks surrounding Independence Day 2026.

I got the impression it was conservative pollster Frank Luntz who came up with "poorly educated." Within the following two weeks he was not only off of the 2016 campaign but DT was out there calling him names etc.

Maybe it was a kamikaze mission: send this guy back to his towers?

That's not new information. The videos clearly show that it was vandalism on top of the botched installation.

And, not so strangely, after they made a few arrests, the vandalism stopped. Go figure... Had they not made those arrests, the lefties would have carried on for weeks. Probably not limited to the reflecting pool, given the massive cleanup of graffiti and other vandalism around DC under Trump.

Edit: I think there's a relevant parable about killing some chickens to get the monkeys to behave.

Please post a video demonstrating said vandalism.

The ability of some posters to claim a leftist conspiracy gets into the realm of demented.

Heading from the motion: New Information Provided by DOI to USAO-DC After Indictment.

But the indictment was dismissed without prejudice so they can indict again if they have new new information .

Firstly, as the wording on the dismissal document shows, there was no vandalism (at least, not damage exceeding $1,000 which is what was required for the charges they brought) and secondly the reason(s) why there have been no more incidents is that they erected a fence around the pool and implemented a massive security operation (all at extra, unnecessary, taxpayer expense, of course).

National Guard troops patrol the area around the roughly 2,000-foot-long (610-meter) basin on Washington’s National Mall in groups of threes and fours. Solar-powered light towers illuminate the area at night ‌and roughly a half-dozen mobile security stations outfitted with surveillance cameras ring the perimeter.

Fencing was installed around the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, with the administration attributing its early placement to "vandalism by leftist activists."

They probably dropped the charges because the odds of getting an impartial jury in DC are about zero.

Why waste all that money if you know that there will be at least one syndrome patient on the jury?

Ah....the Middle East is burning BECAUSE of Trump. The old JCPOA worked just fine.

Trump himself has tried to divert attention away from his ME disaster by making up lies about "vandalism" of the Reflecting Pool. Few would be talking about the botched job if Trump hadn't made up the lie about vandalism. Besides, the goofball to whom Trump awarded the no bid contract is a caricature out of the Sunday comics. He could almost play Ignatius J Reilly, if The Confederacy of Dunces is ever made into a movie.

Trump has also tried talking about a slew of other things to take attention off of both Epstein and Iran. His ballroom, his arch, his gold leaf everywhere, calling inflation the "affordability hoax", Greenland again, Cuba, etc. His vandalism lie is just one of many attempts to divert attention.

The war remains a disaster of his making, there's still 3.5 million pages of Epstein files he has been ordered to release but has ignored court orders, inflation remains high, and he has zero policy triumphs to tout.

Almost, but not quite. The DOJ has filed a motion, requesting that the charges be dismissed without prejudice but a judge has not yet ruled on the motion. It's perfectly possible that the judge, having looked over the documentation, may decide to dismiss with prejudice. We just don't know.

Yes. The proposed order for Judge Edelman is:

Upon the government's motion to dismiss the indictment, the government's motion is

GRANTED and the indictment is DISMISSED WITHOUT PREJUDICE.

How many cases is this that Pirro has lost , don't worry it won't be forgotten

about , Trump will bring it up at every opportunity , it will still be vandals ,

when in reality he is is the ultimate vandal ,he is destroying America..

I hope the alleged vandal will sue Trump, Pirro , and Faux News for

defamation , they all said he did it.violently ripping it out with both hands..

GOP trapped itself with new generation of 'rabid, incompetent idiots'

In a report published Saturday morning, Politico dug into the situation that has "some GOP veterans [worried] about the rising generation of young staffers in their party," as they "fret" over concerns that the "pipeline that feeds young conservative talent into government jobs is defective — if not broken." According to these veterans, many of them non-MAGA Republicans, the party's longstanding metamorphosis into President Donald Trump's fiercely loyal personality cult has left it with a dire new talent pool lacking in skill and devoted to extremism.

"This isn’t just the standard middle-aged lament that the kids aren’t all right," the report explained. "It’s a criticism aimed at institutions like the Heritage Foundation that purport to identify and train the party’s future governing class. To conservative critics in and out of government, many of whom ascribe to more traditional, pre-MAGA Republican beliefs, some such institutions have spent the last decade selecting for rigid conformity to Trumpist ideology over more typical markers of expertise.

Maybe that helps for enforcing the party line in the new GOP. But these critics fear a decline of merit and skill, along with a tolerance for darker ideologies that could cripple the party’s ability to govern in the long run."

The outlet cited interviews with "four senior Republican congressional staffers, as well as think tank scholars, Heritage expats, academics who study think tanks and up-and-coming young Republicans," finding within those discussions "a widening generational split and mutual distrust over the issue."

One anonymous senior GOP staffer did not mince words about the growing problem, dismissing the new generation of prospective staffers as "idiots."

“Everyone knows what the problem is: The organizations that bring young staffers to Washington, D.C. have spent the last decade prioritizing blind ideological loyalty instead of competence or intelligence,” the staffer said. “We have a generation of rabid, incompetent idiots.”

Sources highlighted the specific influence of Nick Fuentes, the far-right and explicitly racist streamer and commentator, whose influence is being felt among this new generation of conservative staffers. The term used for his followers, "groypers," has become a "catch-all term of abuse for young, anti-establishment right-wingers."

As Adam Serwer, a reporter for The Atlantic, observed on BlueSky, the party only has itself to blame for this new staffing predicament, given the ways in which it has reshaped itself over the last decade.

"Not only did they absolutely beg for this, they made it so that 'merit' was synonymous with being white so now you’re stuck with precisely the kind of moron who believes that," Serwer wrote.

David Hearn has a good case for suing both Trump and the US Government. Heck, he might as well toss in Fox and other Lying State Media.

In court filings---before the case was dropped---it seems "somebody" presented a memo sent from a Park Services Engineer, 8 days before David Hearn was seen at the Pool, saying that peeling in the Reflecting Pool was already happening.

Hearn's bogus arrest was pure bullying by Trump and an attempt by Trump to deflect blame for Trump's own idiocy and corruption hiring his incompetent weirdo donor John Cafaro.

If Trump tried to sue the BBC for $20 billion for nothing, Hearn out to be able to sue Trump for $1 trillion.

Hearn could take Mar-a-Lago and turn it into something like the Biden Presidential Library or maybe a rehabilitation center for victims of Trump and Epstein.
