Residence Certificate address?

Featured Replies

I need to get a Residence Certificate at immigration in Bangkok.

Are they willing to send it to a different room number in the same condo than the one that is mentioned on the TM30 notification?

They will not send it anywhere. You have to return after 1 week to collect it. I doubt you'll get one that is not the same address as your TM30.

If you are still in the same condo simply ignore the room number. Unless or course you need a third party to send you something. Even then there will be a work around.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with Bangkok but I thought they would send it. Has this changed?

So in your opinion, does Immigration send the letter or do I have the option to pick it up myself?

They send it. Or you arrange to pick it up when applying, at least that’s the case in cm for the expedited.

Yes it has changed. They used to send it to you but that stopped some time ago (a year maybe).

Another option is to get an agent to do it for you, the agent will hand to you when it’s convenient for you.

By the way, are there long queues to get this Residence Certificate?

Or what would be the best time of the day to deal with it?

Yes at CW when you apply, they give you a certificate with a day to come back, 7 days later, this changed some time back, you can get a resident certificate on a tourist visa and visa exempt entry as well now, before you needed a long term visa/extension of stay, they will not send it

Easy to get an appointment online for it. Make sure you apply for the correct thing. Letter of Residence.

Re appointment at CW... Make sure you make hard copy print out of appointment confirmation.

Not necessary, just saves waiting.

Walk ins acceptable.

But why wouldn't anyone make an appointment if available.

System works a treat.
