This is not about Thailand but with all that is going on it could be on the horizon over here as well.

The video is pretty self explaining, have a look.

Obviously has done something wrong in the past, but without knowing what, it's hard to comment.

Sounds like communications between Law Enforcement agencies is now pretty hot if you have a record in home country. damn this digital age.

I would hope there is a statue of limitations or something like that for time served.

Foreigners can't own houses in PI.

And I'd suspect he was turned away because his PI wife asked them to turn him away.

She's found someone else!

Same in Thailand,

Every year at marriage extension, immigration ask me to collect another document photocopy, so they can ask my wife, on her own, if she wants me to have the extension (I need to be out of the room because they know I can understand Thai).

Of course they want to ask her, as the extension is based on your marriage. What´s wrong with that?

Just pointing out no big mystery in the OP video.

Guy's wife just didn't want him any more!

We don't know the full story behind this. I suspect, however the wife may well be behind his re-entry refusal. Personally, much as I like the Philippines and it's people, the food is mostly awful, unlike Thailand.where the food iis mostly excellent.

Perhaps a business rival wants to muscle in, and told bad stories about him ?

Being single is always best! Rent, don't buy..... (in any country)

Are you under 50?

If not, switch to retirement visa, less paperwork and you don't depend on the fickle temperament of a Thai woman.

TH ... yes

PI ... ??? AI states 'yes' ?

... "Yes, foreigners can legally own a condominium unit in the Philippines under the Condominium Act (Republic Act No. 4726), provided that total foreign ownership in that specific building or project does not exceed 40%" ...
