Here's a news flash for you. No new bill required, Trump handled it. On Biden's first day in office most of Trump's border policies were reversed. Biden was worthless on border security.

Thanks for posting that interesting article, Mike. Greatly enjoyed reading it. Mostly due to the part where Bessent, who had previously not supported tariffs enthusiastically, says:

"“I’ve evolved on this. The president has been right.” He has also described tariffs as “a useful tool for achieving the president’s foreign policy objectives”"

So Bessent, intelligent man that he is, a billionaire fund manager, concedes that Trump was right on tariffs all along.

Biden did the right thing to end the moral and ethical shame of Trump’s immigration policies. Trump child separation and remain in Mexico were criticized by human rights as inhumane and cruel. His immigration policies in his 2nd term has created more problems than solutions.

Steve Hilton was former advisor to the UK Conservative Party and Prime Minister David Cameron. He works for the Republicans, and was endorsed by the current President as Republican candidate for the Californian Presidential candidate.

A lot of you Americans are daft enough to "register" political affiliation, as if its Stalin's Russia. I doubt he has ever held left wing/socialist views, and had some sort of Damascene conversion. He registered for reasons only known to himself.

Americans are a funny people. You spend years and years disputing whether or not the Russians interfered with the 2016 election, with most people seemingly coming to the view that American democracy is sufficiently robust to resist the influence of a malevolent superpower. You seem to believe the Chinese state interfered with the 2024 election, but were unsuccessful, because of the resilience of American democracy.

But here you are, a Canadian leftward leaning politician hires an American, and immediately you think the only reason is to rig an American election, where Russia and China failed. Frankly, your statement seems libellous, as you are accusing an American citizen of plotting against her state. Probably just as well you hide behind a fake profile, and no one reports you.
