Nope. You're the one who said, they are there already, but you so far you have failed to prove your claim.

Here's some more info about Schlumberger, which you avoide to add.

SLB just secured access to Venezuela's prized oilfield data and may reactivate up to 15 rigs in a country that previously defaulted on billions owed to the company itself. Whether 97 years of institutional memory justifies the collection risk is…

The story of Venezuela is also a payment story. Financial terms remain confidential, and PDVSA previously defaulted on billions of dollars owed to service companies, including SLB itself.

The narrower question is whether a 97-year presence in-country gives SLB institutional reasons to accept collection risk that a shareholder, seeing only a spreadsheet, would not.

You said that "so far there are no takers". You were wrong. Chevron never left.

Nice try, but no cigar, as I said Chevron never left. Poor poor MAGA disciple.

Now show me who is already there.

That's really info about PDVSA - notoriously bad under previous regimes - it will be different now,].

At least you admit that Schlumberger have a renewed interest now.

Which part of MAY is it that you don't understand?

Go to your post prior to that one.

Trump is an idiot that is going to get a big wake-up call in the midterms for acting like some dictator and annoying his allies with nonsense.

The Falklands issue was settled in 1982... it's done. Please read the UN charter on self-determination, specifically Article 1 paragraph 2, Article 55, and Article 76 paragraph b... which Trump probably has never even read. It's up to the people that live there, and they want to be British... end of.

Let's add some perspective for those that find it hard to educate themselves properly. Let's ask what the natives and populations of the following think:

1. Peuto Rico

2. Guam

3. US Virgin Islands

4. American Samoa

5. The Norther Mariana Islands

Why? Well, three reasons jump to mind. Firstly, no voting rights. Secondly, No Voting representation. Third, Ferdal control without a voice. Basically the old complaint of no control without representation. An awkward truth for the current White House... even though it runs its mouth off about it.

Same goes for Spain and their belligerence over Gibraltar. What about Ceuta, Basque Country, or Catalonia? Bet Morocco and the others don't agree with the current status quo.

How about France and New Caledonia, Martinique and Guadeloupe, or French Polynesia? The list is endless.

However, everyone focuses on the bad old Brits that have given all their former territories way more choice than their contemporary colonial brothers. Wake up to reality.

When will France, Spain, or the US give their locals a referendum on what their futures should be... well, never. What a load of manure from so many idiots.

Hunt and SLB signed. Chevron is already pumping a quarter million barrels. Reuters has five firms at the table this week. $100B is a rebuild estimate and not a missing wire. Political risk is real. “Nothing is signed / no majors / MAGA cope” is you arguing with last years newspaper. Try better.

Lol! It's Trump's sanctions in 2019 which forced most foreign firms to leave Venezuela. 😂

As concerns Chevron, it was allowed to resume production in November 2022 under the Biden administration, with a production of around 200,000 barrels/day.

Rubbish. Exxon Mobil and Conoco Phillips refused Chávez demands for foreign companies to cede majority control (at least 60%) of Orinoco heavy-oil projects to the state in 2007. Sanctions by the US after that were due to the legal charges of expropriation by PDVSA of assets owned by those two companies and which are still disputed.

Biden only relented with Chevron after he'd already let the SPR dip to half capacity.

Read well! I wrote "foreign firms" not "US firms". 😀

You are right that Chevron was the only US oil production company in operation before the 2019 sanctions. The other US companies were only service companies such as Schlumberger. The other foreign companies involved in production were Rosneft (Russia), ENI (Italy), and Repsol (Spain).

Anyway, my point was that there's no reason to bragg about Chevron now producing oil, as the other poster did. It was already producing oil in Venezuela.

Signed a deal, you mean he nicked them, and he first has to find companies that want to invest hundreds of billions of dollars to extract them.

So far there are no takers because they know who they are dealing with, and they have already lost hundreds of billions of dollars in Venezuela in the past because of Trump

Here you go Callum, you said there were no takers. I said Chevron were already there.

By the way, the major dollar losses were due to Chavez & Co way before Trump was involved.

Hi commie! Let's start that your 2022 article is not current news. It's way back.

Hunt and SLB signed in August. Reuters has five firms signing this week. Chevron is already at ~280k bpd and just committed $7bn to go to 600k. That is this week’s paper.

2019 sanctions starved Maduro. They did not freeze the calendar in 2022. Chevron never left and commie loving Biden’s limited license started from a wrecked base, not a healthy 200k operation. The 200k figure you keep posting was old JV capacity, not what was actually flowing when the license dropped.

“Only company left” was a sanctions snapshot and it is not the story after the government changed. Please update the clipping if you are able...

I’m sure the OP will be absolutely devastated to learn that you’ve decided to put them on your ignore list. I can only imagine how difficult this must be for them, knowing that they’ll no longer have the privilege of receiving your attention, responses, or carefully considered opinions. They may never fully recover from the emotional impact of being ignored by someone whose presence was apparently so important to them. Perhaps they’ll spend the next few days reflecting on what they did to deserve such a devastating fate. Truly, this is a heartbreaking development, and I hope they have the strength to carry on.

As far as drivel goes, it seems you can't defend yours.

As far as MAGA goes, it seems you're far more consumed by it than I am.

You seem to be affected by the same reading comprehension issues as your pal Nauseus. My source is dated 23 December 2025! 😂

And the 200k number is from 2025, not before 2019.

https://www.theoilslick.com/article-chevron-q3-2025-record-output-venezuela-return.html

Another source cites 245k

https://en.ultimasnoticias.com.ve/oil-country/Joint-ventures-with-Chevron-lead-oil-production/

So nothing really new with the numbers you mentioned for 2026. It's just following the trend!
