FBI-Wanted American Arrested in Phuket on Child Sex Abuse Warrants

Thai authorities arrested 48-year-old American Lance Beck at a hotel in Phuket after receiving a request for assistance from the FBI. Beck is wanted under eight US warrants, including seven issued in Alabama and one federal warrant, involving allegations that he sexually abused children under the age of 14 and recorded the acts. The accusations include rape, sexual torture, human trafficking, incest and facilitating a child's travel for an unlawful sexual act. Investigators traced Beck after determining that he entered Thailand through Phuket International Airport and located him at a hotel in Nai Yang, where his permission to remain in the country was revoked. He was transferred to an immigration detention facility and is expected to be returned to the United States to face legal proceedings.
