At this point this admin is treating the national debt like Monopoly money. When the US Treasury buys the Japanese Yen in order to help stabilize this currency then what "what the hell is going"? Anyway, the current damage from Trump is ongoing, primarily because of the war with Iran, the damage it could do to the world economy if a significant portion of the world's oil supply is taken offline, and because of the very real possibility of the thing spiraling totally out of control. It's already a regional war, and there's no plan for ending it. What's next? Israel nuking Iran? They won't go out without a fight, and for them the war is existential.

And if you look at the former socialist republics in eastern Europe, none of them abolished their police, the kept their borders covered in mine fields to prevent border crossings and so on. So your/some us politicians definition of socialism seems to be something completely different.
