If the Democrats somehow take control of the House and the Senate, Trump will likely spend the last two years of his presidency dealing with impeachment trials. I'm pretty sure some Democrats are already preparing for such a contingency so then can hit the ground running in the event the midterms don't go well for the Republicans.
