2 hours ago2 hr A 33-year-old South Korean tourist has reported the disappearance of 25,000 baht from his Pattaya hotel room after waking to find a Thai woman he had met on Walking Street had left.Yeonho Lim filed a complaint with Muang Pattaya Police and later approached the media, accompanied by a Thai friend. He submitted CCTV images and other evidence from the hotel.Lim said he met the woman, whose name he does not know, at an entertainment venue on Walking Street in South Pattaya on 10 September. After arriving at room 1317 at the Aster Hotel and Residence, they drank together for a period before he became sleepy and went to bed, Lim said.Cash missing when guest woke upAt around 7am, the next morning, Lim said he checked his belongings and discovered that 25,000 baht in cash kept in the room had gone missing. His bag had also been opened, while the woman was no longer in the room.He told police he suspected the woman may have been connected to the missing money. CCTV material was handed to investigators to help identify her and establish whether anyone else was involved.Police Lieutenant Phupha Yongyakul, deputy investigation inspector at Muang Pattaya Police Station, accepted the complaint.
