SCB Facial recognition - any tips please

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

My wife (not Thai) gets a newer phone. Had to go in to branch as she had not previously logged her picture with the bank.

No matter how had we tried, both in the branch and at home, we cant get the identification verification by using facial recognition to work on the mobile.

Called the helpline but no joy - need to go in to the branch to sort.

Tried two different local branches

Anyone else had this problem and any tips?

Yes to the problem. Initially it wasn't an issue to set up but recently when I need to send over 50k it is hit and miss. Try 3 or 4 times and if no joy split the amount.

Getting the face in the right place from the start and immediately following the prompts accurately seems to have the best chance but seems to be more art than science.........

I had a similar problem until I realised I had to blink three times......missed that instruction.

This farcical recognition nonsense seems to be becoming a recurring theme across the Thai banking sector - with SCB account holders now being adversely affected in addition to those with Kasikorn and Bangkok Bank!
