Cambodia will host its first women‑led motorcycle campaign this December, with riders from home and abroad joining forces in Siem Reap to promote empowerment, safe tourism and cultural pride.

The initiative, titled “Ride With Confidence – Together We Ride, Together We Rise”, will run from 12 to 13 December under the Ministry of Tourism’s banner. At its heart is an inaugural ride through Siem Reap and the Angkor landscape, bringing together 40 to 50 participants including entrepreneurs, diplomats, journalists, influencers and motorcycle enthusiasts.

Lead organiser and rider Muna Haq said the campaign is about more than motorcycles. “It is about women having the confidence to go further – to travel, lead, explore and be visible,” she explained. The ride also aims to showcase Cambodia as a safe and welcoming destination for women travellers and families.

National personality Koy Anna will serve as ambassador and lead rider, joined by international influencers, travel creators and lifestyle figures. Anna said she was excited to highlight Cambodia’s culture and warmth: “Riding together in Siem Reap is a beautiful way to show Cambodia to the world and inspire more women to experience our country with confidence.”

The campaign links with the United Nations’ 16 Days of Activism Against Gender‑Based Violence, aligning its tourism message with broader calls for dignity, equality and safety.

Organisers hope to make it an annual platform, attracting more international riders while creating opportunities for women entrepreneurs, artisans and local communities.

Partnerships are being sought across government, UN agencies, embassies, airlines, hotels and businesses to ensure the campaign’s visibility translates into lasting benefits. For Cambodia, the ride represents both a celebration of women’s empowerment and a showcase of its cultural heritage to the world.
