Now I really feel alarmed 😱 , I wonder why none of the doctors who saw my blood test results , never mentioned any thing , only watch my Cholesterol .

They should make you aware. Now you have the chart so you can monitor you eGFR kidney function tests yourself.

You need to start vigorous calf muscle exercises even if you don't generally exercise. The calf muscles are key in helping pump blood upwards.

Thanks, when I have the next blood test , I'm going to make sure to mention the eGFR kidney function tests , this getting Old is a curse.👴 .

Fyi, the first tests show you at Stage 3a Chronic Kidney Disease. It's at this point you should be reading up on CKD and what you can do in changes in you're lifestyle including the medications you take and what you eat. A Stage 3a means "it's time to wake up and pay attention" and discuss your tests with a kidney specialist.

Please disregard the comments on your eGFR.

At age 76, average eGFR is around 70 and levels in the 60's can still be a normal part of aging. Unless there was protein (albumin) in your urine or elevated serum creatine, no need for concern. Your latest creatine is within normal range and I very much doubt you have proteinuria.

"For subjects older than 65 years without albuminuria or proteinuria, CKD is defined by eGFR below 45 mL/min/1.73m2." https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4810758/

There is no blood test relevant to your issue. As to its cause, likely either a circulation issue (venous, not related to blood pressure) or a skin problem or both (circulatory problems can predispose to skin problems). Diabetic neuropathy also possible.

It sounds like you already saw a doctor at the government hospital who recommended a dermatologist, suggesting that s/he did not think there was a circulatory issue, but I don't know how thorough the exam was, and you do mention swelling and some discoloration both of which suggest circulatory problem.

You should always elevate your legs when seated, and compression stockings (available on Lazada and many pharmacies) can also help as may a hypoallergenic cream like Eucerin to keep the skin moist.

If swelling and discoloration persist or worsen, go to another hospital and consult see a vascular specialist if possible. Where are you located?

Thank you , the doctor at the local Thai government hospital , just took a quick look at my ankles and just said go to hospital that has a dermatologist , I live around 65 Km outside of Korat in a small village. I do tend to spend long periods sitting at my computer, which I was assuming was the main cause of the problem with my ankles. I now try and get up and walk away from my computer every 30 minuets and have a walk around . I'm not sure if I have correctly added a photograph of my ankle to this post , can you please confirm that the photograph of my ankle is visible, and if it is, hearing your thoughts would be very helpfull.

The photo is visible but I can't say much based on it. In particular, can't tell what is due to scratching versus what is already there. An in person look by a doctor is in order. Ankle does look swollen, however.

The main government hospital in Korat (Maharaj Nakorn) is a huge regional level hospital and will have both dermatologist and vascular doctors. It is by far the largest hospital in Korat. There will be an after hours clinic (sometimes called SMC, or Special Medical Clinic) that starts around 4 PM and where you can directly see a senior doctor.

Otherwise, either St Mary's Hospital or Bangkok Hospital Korat, both private.
