Potassium levels

Featured Replies

Sheryl thanks for your advice in the past, a small one for you most hospitals/clinics state a maximum safe level for potassium as 5.0 or 5.1 or 5.2, but Chula have 4.5. Any idea why.?

Interesting ... good topic 👍

Apparently my local (Muang, PKK) hospital considers 4.5 a bit high, though still within 'their' normal range.

To late to edit, but asked yet another query, and answered ...

My GP, a Nephrologist (kidney doc) told me my kidneys are operating at about 80%, normal for my age (72 soon), so may explaing my high end # of 4.5.

And I've eaten a bunch of bananas & salmon the past day or so 😂

Again, good topic ... THANKS
