Does anybody have some information about what banks are giving loans to Americans to purchase condominiums in Thailand. I heard that this is possible. Even if your job is in America. Thanks

How much are you putting down?

If you can put your hands on 30% you "may" get it; 50% and this becomes "very likely".

But, I would query your visa status as it sounds to me like you don't have a WP or PR. If so, this process does become a little more complex. Especially if you do actually "live" here and don't have either of those.

You mean that if I have a working permit (WP) that this will make it easier for a loan. Is this correct. I don't know what a PR is. What is a PR?

I heard that HBSC will do that.

PR = Permanent Resident

Yes; having a WP helps.
