Phuket And Ko Samui In Two Weeks?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am travelling to Thailand for 2 weeks in November and i would love to visit both Phuket and Ko Samui. i am hoping to get to Phi phi when in Phuket as well. i am flying into Bangkok and i am wondering which one should i visit first, and also how long should i spend in each. Or is my best option to pick one or the other and spend all my time there. i dont mind the travel but my concern is i will grow attached to one place and not want to leave and then i'll have to up sticks and move on. hoping to spend one day in Bangkok before i fly home as well....

Any advice on the best way to manage my trip as well as flight or travel options would be appreciated.

Regards,

Alioast.

I would say one week each. It's close to one another anyway if you get bored to where you're at, just hop in a bus and move on. Don't think too much you will be on holidays and you should let all so-well-organized attitude goes. Play it by ears. Expect unexpect. You will find either place worth coming back. Don't tell me this is your only time visit Thailand! C'mon.

I don't know why you want to go to two big tourist islands. Personally, I'd choose one or the other and then spend some time on one of the surrounding, lesser-known islands. For instance, Phuket and Phi Phi and Koh Lanta, Koh Jum, or Koh Yao Noi. Or Samui and Koh Phangan and Koh Tao. If it influences your decision, the Gulf side - ie Samui - tends to be very wet and stormy in November, while the Andaman side is relatively dry.

See Andaman Island Hopping, Travelfish Islands, Koh Jum Online, and Tezza's Beaches and Islands.

In any case, in November there's no need to tie yourself down with advanced reservations, except maybe for the weekend of Loy Krathong (Nov.24).

I don't see what's wrong visiting tourists spot or islands if it's his first time then he should go ahead and see it. He won't be asking that if he has been to those beaches.

To be honest i intend to keep moving, get to Phuket, head onto Phi Phi and god knows where after that, when i get to Samui i want to go onto Ko phangan. the lack of time i have is a serious balls, but god knows i may just come bak at christmas....if i am to do the two which one first? i am thinking of hoppin on a Nok Air flight and hit for puket first then Ko Samui the second week.

I would jump with you on the plane, ahh I mean what you have planned is what's exactly I was thinking but just left the windows open as you be on holidays and to be so organized would ruin the fun.

What you have planned sounds good to me. GO GO GO. And welcome to the beach.

That's what I'd do. Don't think there's a huge difference either way, though. Anyway, go with that plan, stop worrying, you've got plenty of flexible options that you can exercise on the fly.
