Recommendations For Sea Freight - Us To Bangkok

Hello!

Does anyone have any recommended companies for shipping personal effects from Virginia in the US to Bangkok?

Also, any experience clearing customs in Bkk with personal effects?

I used Allied Pickfords from Chicago to Bkk. Great service but I wasn't paying.

And in regards to clearing customs, no one will have a good story to tell you about that. Me, I got the email that they would either take a 16,900 baht 'fee' to clear it, or a 22,500 charge and go through 'every' box, including opening it.

So, I forwarded it to the financial controller and had my boxes in two days, w/o any money.
