Macau Hotel

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've done a search on here for Macau and there doesn't seem to be any recent postings for hotels.

I'm interested in a hotel that's not going to be too expensive. Planning to go to Macau and go to the casino's for a couple of nights but I've had a look at some of the Casino hotels and they're a bit pricey. Was hoping to get a hotel around £30 per night.

Can anyone recommend any?

Also is everything pretty much central or do I have to be careful about how far my hotel is away from the casino action?

Thanks

I've stayed at the Metropole before...it should be in this price-range and is quite centrally located...if you don't have a problem with a 10 minute walk, you'll be right at the casinos. Hotel is decently enough kept, my only issue with it is the Chinese food-only breakfast.

I would suggest the Rio in Macau. Centrally located, quite new, price should be around your range. All of the casinos are within a 5 minute walk, plus Rio itself also has a casino and one of the best "spas" in Macau.

Another tip - if you are not going on a weekend, I would wait until I got to Macau, and book a hotel at one of the shops near the Lisboa. They have great rates which cannot be found anywhere else, presumably because they know the current occupancy status.
